Wow! Very sad to see that. My friend had a 36' Tiara that he had to sell last year when he went through his divorce. Every time he took it out, he had a $5k repair bill for something or other...

So the insurance adjuster will be here this week, hopefully today.
I was given good advice in that I should hire an independant surveryor to make sure it is repaired properly. (Our repairs from our grounding were not done well).

My wife and I have decided that the DAY it is fixed and slides into our slip that we are getting a broker and selling it. The actual day.

We figure it will take 6months to a year. As soon as it is gone, we will pop champagne and celebrate.

I told her before this all started that we should get a Ferrari! Now, I don't want any more toys.

4 cars and 2 jetski's is enough.

How does that saying go...the two happiest days in a man's life. #2 is when he buys his boat, #1 is when he sells it.

Sounds like you were looking for a way to get away from your usual environment. Maybe take the money and join a country club or something of that ilk. You can rent boats.

I hope you come away from this financially unscathed and with a sense of humor.

"A boat is a hole in the water that you keep throwing money into"; that saying says a lot for what you're going through. Good luck.

I know that thing has been nothing but a head ache but....

You have 30 some odd posts telling you to run.

I think it deserves at least one decent cruise with all you have been through.

Might actually help resale if you can say you actually dropped a fishing line off the side.

With his luck it will look like this:
