I would really like to put...

the cat among the pigeons and look at the flip side. What do the exes think of you as an ex husband? It take 2 to tango. I am on my 2nd marriage and try to be objective about relationships. As much as I can criticize my ex , I am sure she has words for me. Do you think that u changed much(if any) to be a better husband for your next wife? Do you think she changed after she left u?
The proof could be that if by the time you pass on to the next world, you have been married say 5 times, then there is something not right there! Conversely, if your ex gets married 5X in her life, then there is something wrong too!? Yes, No?

My drummer has been married so many times wedding bells sound like an alarm clock to him.

Only married once and it has been 28 years. Why she hasn't divorce me I'll never know. Her two sisters are crazy, gold diggers, and very self centered, the younger one especially.

Best thing I ever did was after hearing some advise from a friend, started living for myself and not worrying about the ex nor why she was the ex.

Started putting myself into work and doing the best I could. Ten+ years later have had some very good luck and have been very successful. Best comments I ever heard from the ex-wifes friends is that she is surprised how well things have gone and that she made a mistake...

Yes, its too late for her...

Hey, we all make mistakes!

First time was right out of college, and lasted a year or so.

Second one was at age 38 and lasted 11 years.

Had not been a third one yet but if I met the right lady and she liked cars, airplanes and motorcycles and we got along... might try it again!

All of you have followed many of my travails. And I guess its not a biggie in the scheme of things. If you recall I was awarded the house in the divorce for a modest cash settlement.

Today she calls me screemeing that she is coming tomorrow at 1145 a.m. with an appraiser so she can refinance the house. Yes, the house the judge awarded me in the divorce as clearly stated in the final decree.

Huh?

I say WTF are you talking about?

She responds its still my house too since its not in the decree.

I say, well if you read the decree it incorporates the property settlement agreement into the final 0rder. Yup....the PSA you signed. The one that states I gave you $XXXX as consideration for your interest in the house. The one that says you relinquish all ownership, right , possession to the house.

Game over....9 months ago.

Her: I coming with the sheriff and an appraiser....I want to refinance the house. Oh...you mean MY house. Geee....appreciate the thought. But ain't gonna happen.

So I gotta sit at home and wait for her posse to show tomorrow.

BTW....already warned the Sheriff and given him a copy of the decree.

WTF?

Nucking Futs, I tell ya....nucking futs.

My 1st wife stole all the money out of our bank account. THe problem was that about $10K of the money was actually for business expenses and that credit card was due.

Dueller, do you still have a relationship with your [former?] step son? It seems you got along pretty well.

It's weird a former spouse seems like the perfect mate at the beginning of the relationship, then somewhere along the way they turn into your worst nucking fightmare. In some cases, it happens within just a few years but others it takes several years.

Sorry to hear about your reoccurring nightmare.

I'd like to meet my ex's new BF.....don't think it will ever happen though....don't think anyone would have her.

They have kids....and then....all you are worth is a paycheck and the guy who takes out the trash.

The nucking futs should eventually settle down to a manageable rumble. (Note I didn't say it will ever go away.) But it seems you got at least one relationship from the deal that is worth keeping.
