Did mine 3 weeks ago. Once it started, didn't want to be more than 1 room away from the throne.

GF has hers this coming Monday.

Done with the prep and heading to the hospital in about an hour. It wasn't bad at all. It was a nuisance, to be sure, but a tolerable one. I'm really looking forward to a good meal afterwards.

Doing my second one tomorrow. Started prep today. First one at 60, no issues. 71 now, VA doc says should have one more. No family history of cancer. Good genes I guess. Wife going with me tomorrow to the VA hospital. Will be very intimate with the throne shortly. Really hungry.....

I’m back home with a clean bill of health. Totally painless other than the three attempts it took to find a good vein.

The prep can leave people relatively dehydrated resulting in less than plump veins.

Well, had my colo op. Done yesterday at the VA hospital. Great Doc and nursing staff. They really have their s#*t together there. No pun intended. Doc found 5 polyps and removed them. Appears to be benign, but he’ll let me know in a few days. Had one done 10 years ago, no issues. So a lot can happen in that time. Felt great after I came out of anesthesia, left hospital, went out for late lunch. Wife drove home. Worst part was drinking a gallon goliteley, stuff tastes awful, even when chilled. If any of you guys/gals are over 50 you should have this procedure done if you haven’t. Great peace of mind.

going in on Monday for a "flip" do the throat then flip me over and go the other way. NOT looking forward to the "prep" part, worried that they will find some messed up stuff. Mrs Crusty is a GI Nurse at the local VA. I am not going there! I did install a 5 point on the toilet so I think I will be safe there!

Had one a month ago, along with an EGD...(Gawd, I hope they used different scopes..bottle of miralax dissolved in 32 ounces of Gatorade, topped with 2 dulcolax. They did find something called a tubular adenoma, which was removed along with polyps, so now I have to endure one every three years. They asked if I preferred demerol and/or versed and I said yes, so of course they used propofol

I'm on the 3 year plan after having 3 polyps removed last time, one fairly large. Scheduled for the 19th of this month. My brother in law waited until age 60 for his first. It was too late. He battled the cancer for several years. It won.
