When my Son and I spoke to a fella about his -MUCIELAGO, he revved it up. It was like an electric motor with a perfect rasp.

Have to agree about AMG V8's. I get to hear them on full song whenever I stop by the Mercedes test track at Brooklands and a car is taking customer on a Hot Lap.
But no-one has yet mentioned a TVR V8 or Straight Six. And what about a supercharged Bugatti 35?

And on the quiet end of the sonic scale, there was the Nissan / Electramotive GTP ZX. This brute took on all comers in the golden age of GTP.
Compared to all the other GTP cars, these things were whisper quiet, but won every race in 1988.

I don't have a video. I love my 03 Mach 1 through cherry bomb cans. Mellow compared to what the kids like these days.

My 05 Carrera S had a fantastic exhaust. Summer time, 100+ mph in a tunnel accelerating hard....heaven.
