I think it's noble that Ferrari gambled on a 1-stop strategy to go for the win, but I have to say I disagreed with them when they didn't come in for a pitstop 1 or 2 laps after Hamilton's 2nd tirechange. I'd rather come in for a second pitstop and maybe/maybe not beat Hamilton out (but likely wind up P2 at the very least), than gamble that my tires would last for 40 laps (which they didn't) and possibly wind up a sitting duck (as Alonso was at the end). Noble, but foolish.
Congrats to Grosjean & Perez (and Hamilton, too).

SPOILERS! SPOILERS! SPOILERS!
Great Race! 1) It was nice to see Hamilton keep his cool, make the necessary passes, keep on the pressure when needed, and win the race. He bungled the getaway on one pit stop and his crew bungled the other, probably costing him 3-4 seconds total. Because of the above, he was able to overcome the errors. 2) What the hell was Red Bull thinking with their tire strategy? No more than two laps after Hamilton came in for fresh tires, Vettel should have been in as well. By that time, it was clear that Hamilton had the winning strategy. 3) Same as #2, but replace "Red Bull" with "Ferrari" and "Vettel" with "Alonso". Even worse, they NEVER called Alonso in for fresh tires. 4) How is it possible that Hamilton won and Button didn't finish in the points? They have access to all the same tire data. It seems obvious that the key to winning this season is to manage a setup and watch track conditions to keep the tires in the correct temperature zone for peak performance. It also seems possible to wring out extra laps if managed properly. I thought Button was the king of tire management? Does this narrow band of peak performance better match Hamilton's aggressive driving style? 5) When Lotus finally gets their mechanical issues sorted out, I think Raikonen will be a force to be reckoned with. I expect to see a late-season rally from him.

So Hamilton actually showed some maturity in this race! He did have several risky opportunities to pass Alonso but waited patiently - just needed to wait a few more seconds before pulling out on the back straight though - it really put him on the dirty line! Great race lots to watch and again Hamilton drove with passion and maturity.

great race!!!!
I believe buttons mechanical problem in practice and loss of track time contributed majorly to their not being able to dial in the front of his car.....

Awesome race! Yes kudo's to Hamilton he showed maturity and excellent racing skills. Made up time like a banshi without putting it into the wall.
This is the best year so far for F1 (IMHO) Bob

You forget that Michael had the pole but a penalty kept him back.

Yeah, MS should retire gracefully & let the new blood rise. Hamilton punched it. Job well done.
