Frankie looks just like my daughter's dog, Juno. She is very smart, will get up on the table if food is left out and leave little to no evidence.

My sister left her Papillon with me when she went to pick up her Tibetan from daycare. We had a nice time, then my sister came back. Her Tibetan comes and sits next to me on the couch. When he left, he left some drips on my cell phone! Damn.

I didn't want to go outside last night, but needed to bring up a load of firewood with the tractor, so I took out our young puppy (4 month old cavapom ), and watched him cavort in the snow for the first time. It was probably his fisrt time to run falt out in the yard, so I ran with him.

Hi folks
I have a problem with my pup. Thought she's not really a pup any more going on 15 months. However, i have used various flea/tick preventives on her and with all she reacts very badly. She didn't have seizures, thank God, but she did become extremely anxious, pacing, really weird. I did speak to vet who gave me yet another brand (these are all the ones that apply on the back), which was no better. I compared different brands through Pet Express. Though I really need your experience. |
^^^ My pup likes spam....seems to work :)

Supposed bullet proof toys destroyed in a matter of minutes or maybe an hour for high price toys. I might as well just hand her a 20 and let her shred that...SmileWavy |

We used to get our Dachshund "log dog" toys. He could kill them in short order, but sometimes he'd play with them for a bit. Kind of funny. Many years ago we had a back yard with squirrels and 2 dogs. I think the bigger dog killed a squirrel, and then disappointed that the squirrel stopped "playing" left it. I went out and the dachshund was chewing on something. He'd often find a stick or old bit of bone to chew, but this seemed different. As I got closer I realized that it was. He was chewing the head of the squirrel, well, it had been the head. Now it was a floppy, flat de-stuffed dispenser for the squirrel's brains. He was not happy that I relieved him of his toy/snack. I also once caught him with a cornered bunny rabbit that was shaken, not stirred. He hadn't gotten a chance to really get a good bite of the rabbit, but when I yelled at him, he turned around to face me with a tuft of bunny fur in his mouth. Killer as a youngster http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1575245698.jpg The business end http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1575245698.jpg A little older http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1575245698.jpg |

(but most of all beautiful doggo) |
Interesting day with dogs yesterday.
I had a meeting in town and took the mostly rural route. About half way there there were cars stopped in both lanes...an older Cocker Spaniel was on the center stripe looking lost and confused. I turned my warning lights on (no one was behind me and, since no one else seemed inclined to get the dog out of harms way, got out and called to Sparky (not his real name) who came over and let me pick him up. A Subaru rocket ship pulled up behind my LC at this time and a young, hat on backwards, tilted to the side, man leans out his window and asked me if the dog had a collar. It did but I could not find a tag right away. He gets out of his car right away, looks the collar over and finds a number to call embedded in the collar. I tell him to call the number while I take Sparky and put him in my car. No one in any of the cars ahead or in the opposite lane move or honk. Very cool. Once I get the dog in my car I wave the opposite lane cars through and the two cars in front of me scoot, leaving Vanilla Ice and me alone. We get the owner on the phone and tell him where we will meet him..a school bus lot about 1/3 of the mile up the road - I drive this route a lot. VI follows and we have a few minutes to chat. What a great kid. He waits until the owner shows up and gets Sparky. VI tells me to have a blessed day and they both depart. Here is Sparky, concerned at first. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1578083786.jpg Then I tell him the story of the Cocker Spaniel who saved Christmas. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1578083818.jpg Goodness all around. |
Great post Seahawk, had me laughing with the last photo.

had a deal like that with a pair of English Labs last month, two females. The elderly one came right to me, the younger one kept her distance, but followed us the two blocks to my house. Called the number on the younger one's collar, older one had the numbers worn off. Owner was there in like 5 minutes.
I keep a leash and some treats in the car, just in case. |
