There once was a good dog.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1540739305.jpg

Who lost his way and got mixed up with a bad cat.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1540739339.jpg

The cat quickly became boss, and taught him all his bad manners.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1540739497.jpg

Eventually the cat took over everything.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1540739571.jpg

The end.

Louise, 2AM, on my pillow (of course). Every night I have to negotiate for space on the bed. It's amazing how much space a 23-pound corgi can occupy.

I see they fixed the death fairy thread but not this one.
I pm'd Chris to see if he could fix this one too. Of course nobody can read this until it is fixed.

Is this thread working again? Up until like yesterday, you could not post to it, the last few pages disappeared, and it looked like there were a number of pages you could not even look at.

I think we're good now?

billybek 11-01-2018 11:34 AM

Thanks Chris!

I'm guessing that there are more than a few pics of little weiners that we can't see now.

Hate to be a downer with the thread just back up, but our Smokey passed away in his sleep Sunday night. Apparently, his heart was worse than we thought. He hadn't been the same for the last 3-4 months. But as mentioned previously, the Vetmedin worked incredibly well (for 2-3 weeks). Then it seemed to do nothing  He actually had a great last day and spent the whole day with my wife and I and others and seemed OK. But at dinner time his coughing attacks returned and he wouldn't eat or drink. I was worried but thought I'd get him into the vet first thing Monday morning. RIP buddy.

We donated the $200 worth of Vetmedin we had just purchased.

RIP Smokey, you are a good boy!

rwest 11-01-2018 03:08 PM

My condolences to you and your family Curt. He had a great life for sure.

john70t 11-01-2018 03:27 PM

Sorry to hear that Curt. RIP to the buddy.

CurtEgerer 11-01-2018 04:26 PM

Much appreciated guys.

billybek 11-01-2018 04:43 PM

Sorry to hear about your buddy, Curt.
Good on ya for donating his meds. I am sure it will help someone or some doggy out.

CurtEgerer 11-01-2018 05:22 PM

Thanks man. The meds will go to someone who can't afford them and would otherwise have to put their dog down.

Baz 11-01-2018 05:34 PM

I'm so sorry, Curt. Smokey had a very good life and knew he was loved. He's chasing around with Sir Henry now in that big backyard in the sky....

CurtEgerer 11-02-2018 06:04 AM

with his head out the window - the only way he liked to travel :)

My condolences Curt. This is rough. It's great that he had a great day and great family.

Craig T 11-02-2018 06:32 AM

I'm so sorry Curt. I know how hard it is.

gatotom 11-02-2018 09:06 AM

Curt, I am so sorry and unfortunately yesterday our girl went to heaven. Lady was 9 1/2 yrs old with advanced kidney failure and cushings disease along with chronic urinary tract infection. She was a very gentle lab, never barked only when seriously threatened and kids had their way with her, she loved to swim and jump in the water. She will be missed badly.

That's even tougher to lose one like that. Watching a prolonged illness is the worst. Sorry to hear :(

Curt,

So very sorry to hear about Smokey. He was a regular Schnauzer fix for us, especially since we lost our Sir Henry this past August. Like Smokey, Henry left us during the night. We too donated his unused meds and supplies back to our Vet so someone else could use them if financially strapped.

We understand your loss and you family are in our thoughts.

Schnauzers are funny little guys

Our dogs HATE the rolling back the clocks an hour bit. They are convinced we are stupid because feeding time did not change according to tummy time. They adjust instantly to the change in the spring when we jump forward.

nice dogs!!

i like the pics of actual dogs that we own. the Memes, not so much. (just me)

my dog and i have really bonded. for the first year(s?) he has only looked at me as the dude that fed him and picked up his turds. he was "okay" with me. when my wife showed up, his entire body wags.

now? he is getting on the Vash program. it's kinda nice.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Tom. I hope she didn't suffer too much. I know she had a great life - I can tell by those pics she knew she was loved each and every day. What more is there in life?

BTW, good friends of mine had a Black Lab named "Lady" and she was their companion for quite a few years. That name has stayed with me through the years as very special.

Met Bishop in the lobby of the hotel while on a work deployment. One ball of affectionate fluff.

Bishop owns a very nice couple. I happen to be getting a bag from the car when I heard the distinct schnauzer bark/howl/talk. Had to investigate and was pleasantly surprised. Made me miss Sir Henry

Sage is beautiful. We have been trolling the local County Animal Shelters. First time we have been without cats and dogs, at least affectionate ones. We still have an outside cat that is a total arse. Need meds and welding gloves for a trip to the vet with him.[emoji849]

Awww.. what a lovely dog. I bet she was happy with all the years she spent in your family. If in case that you will be having a new dog (new member of the family) I suggest that you get her/him one of these dog supplies like houses, beds, cage, toys, clothing and other things that will make your dog happier. :)
