Did he chew it apart? My dog loves chewing on the blue thing more than he likes the damn ball!

Any plush toy is de-squeekered within 5 minutes around here.

My wife agreed to foster and find a new home for this guy last Thursday evening. I was pretty pissed as we already have four dogs and another staying with us. By Friday afternoon I claimed him for myself.
Meet Marlin: https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net...0b&oe=5ECEB623 https://scontent-dfw5-2.xx.fbcdn.net...fd&oe=5ECD65D5 https://scontent-dfw5-2.xx.fbcdn.net...bb&oe=5ECDAC62 https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net...62&oe=5ECD7C20 I wasn't sure how he'd like riding in my loud 911. We took him for a couple hour drive on Sunday and I gradually pushed the limits. He was not phased one bit by 100mph WOT with the windows down or punishing the tires through the twisties. Rallye approved! |
Puppies are such a joy!
Ricky was terrified of the two puppies (at first) - they have recently been stealing his toys. Here is Ricky dilligently guarding his toys and Iris sneaking up and ready to pounce...

Great dogs guys,
Here’s another of my foster Korey, he is paralyzed, but seems to have some control at the hips and can lift one leg alright for licking “down there”. I came up from the basement a few days ago and saw this. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1588240131.jpg |
In the olden days, when they did cars and coffee where I walk the dogs

i got my dog to understand, "get the rope".
he will wade thru all his toys in a basket (my wife is a dog toy junkie) and find the tug-o-war rope and come running for a game of tug. my mutt is the smartest dog ive ever had. i attribute it to the herding dog in him. thank goodness. i made a video of him digging for the rope. |

Hello, all fellow pelicans-
As some of you may recall, Hank left us a couple days before Christmas. We were heartbroken, as all of you who have had dogs have been when you had to go through with this. Fast forward to the end of April. No hound this time, rather an Australian Shepherd. He’s actually a “mini”, but he is on the big side of that breed.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1589485773.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1589485773.jpg Finny is our new guy. So far, he has been awesome. First dog that we have had that does not need to be on a lead all the time. The poor guy is waiting to come home from the vet this afternoon. He had a little adjustment today (snip, snip). So should be a little more calm now. We had intended to work with a rescue, but because of the COVID induced madness, the rescues have a long backlog of adopters - and a shortage of dogs, we opted to contact a breeder. All that said - the initial cost was a bit higher, but the uncertainty of a known breed and good bloodlines is helpful. We loved Hank - and the cost associated with his health problems was on par with an aircooled rebuild. In any case, Finny is here. We are happy so far. After a few days, we expect that he will be back to his old self, only less nutty. |
Finny is a good looking pup!
Congrats!! |
Will it hurt him to eat a tomato now and then?

Around here there are lots of ____doodle dogs and pretty much all of them are shades of light brown to reddish-brown. The pup is really out of focus, but looks like a curly haired pup of that range of colors. And I can only see a tiny bit of the pup (I think). |
Dang I didn't even realize it was upside down. Makes more sense now
18lb cat and 50lb doggo with serious ball OCD. He rolls them underneath on purpose. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1594447942.jpg |

The brown one is about 5, striped one is about 3, 95# and 125# respectively
Thick brown one is top dog. If I am not home, the wife goes nowhere without an escort. Yesterday it was hot, so the brown one wanted to go inside so the fan could blow on him, because he is a dog, he is not stupid. Wife was out there with the other dog. After a while, the striped dog wanted in, went to the door and did his please come here and open this routine, then sits in front of the door, which is basically a window with a door frame around it. Brown dog goes to the door, glares at the other dog, barks once, and the striped dog runs over and sits in the shade of the orange tree. He can see both gates, the wife and the entire yard from that spot. There he stays, until the wife gets up to go in the house. She comes in, other dog comes with her. Apparently, during the day one or the other is constantly beside her. When I get home, one of them will take a look, while the other stays with her, until we come to wherever she is. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JBSOF_4ud9k" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
