So, really chilly here today with winds...the D Train decides to ride the last 1/4 mile:
"You are not going to post this on the PP Dog thread, right? Me riding!" http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1641934780.jpg Yes. "Alright, let's do this." http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1641934668.jpg |
Ha.....love it!

Turned cold here (41 this morning). Time to get out Bosco’s winter gear.

Big is looking like a patchwork quilt. He had nine lumps and warts cut out - luckily none turned out to be cancerous.

Cold once again and after my 40 minute ride, her 40 minute sniff-ex, she decides to ride back like last time.
I pull out the camera. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643028450.jpg "Not this sh** again!" http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643028450.jpg |

Good to hear from you again, David! Scritches to all your pups! |

And FYI, dogs actually have a biology that helps keep them warm. The veins and arteries in their legs are routed along side each other, so that the cold blood heading back to their heart from the paws is heated by the warm blood in the arteries. This helps keep the blood in their body and heart warmer. Or so I've read. I do understand that under certain circumstances they can use shoes (whether it's due to heat or I understand that in certain circumstances they run shoes to keep ice crystals from cutting their feet up (I think that's usually sled dogs under specific circumstances). |

my dog is a bit of a Dick. he likes to fight with other dogs.
with humans, he is the most gentle guy ever. i was trying to clean a scratch on him this weekend and i was very vulnerable, if he decide to take a chunk out of me. he didnt. other dogs? man we are on alert full time. no free roaming. it's scary and i HATE having to manage the A-Hole. if i knew, i wouldnt have brought him home. sucks. you all with great confident well adjusted dogs..lucky. the suck of adopting an older animal, is a crap shoot..which brings me to his other thing. he craps a lot. |

I have one that has a bit of that |
My old border collie has got to be distracted by a task or she will go looking for trouble...
If the ball is in play, I have her undivided attention. The young guy seems pretty good around other dogs. |
Ok. I know I am being as obnoxious as a new father, but, however; in my defense, from our drive/walk about today:
Strike the pose. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643146190.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643146190.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1643146190.jpg I need help. I'll find a dog 12 Step Program. |

We brought little Lucy home yesterday and, not surprisingly, she's already a much-loved member of the family. She's a very sweet an affectionate mini Aussie.

I can stop posting anytime I want...I don't have a problem.
Cute pups as always, BTW. So, we have a trail with jumps that runs around the farm. Don't ask me why, I just work here. From yesterday: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1644448195.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1644448195.jpg I reserve, as best I can, the 1500 slot in my day for her see and sniffs while I ride around the farm. I take my Buck Rogers phone with me and, nice day and a meeting got pushed, we were out for over an hour. Jeeves, please drive me homeward. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1644448516.jpg |
I love all of the happy dogs. Keep posting, Paul!
