One-year old Mia has gotten ten-year Zora's attention. Jumping over Ellie here in a rush to get to the lawn. Zora has been awakened by Mia. She follows her all around the dog park.

Last fall we lost the little shi-poo cross we had been given to care for when our elderly neighbor was ill. We didn't realize how attached to the dog my granddaughter was until we saw signs of depression in her. So... puppy therapy has been invoked. She picked out her new best friend on Sunday. It will be another month before the little one (also a shi-poo cross) can leave her mom, but it is a done deal. I wish we had realized the problem sooner.

my brother swore off dogs. he had up to 3 at one time. houseful of fur, vet bills, etc. they passed really close together time-wise. he took a break and one at the shelter caught his heart. they are now inseparable. he is in Tucson and just got a passing score at Rattlesnake camp. my brother bought hunting land that is infested with snakes, so the insurance training was time well spent.

this dog is spoiled!!!

Mia with this morning's zoomies. She likes to strafe me and sometimes leap as she goes by. I'm certain she's showing off. This dog is a hoot!

I've got one dog that shivers when fireworks go off and the GSD wasn't here last July, so I looked for something to relax them for the 4th and found this stuff:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1751822794.jpg

It intrigued me because of the hemp ingredient. The content is low according to the company at 0.3%, but there's several other ingredients. Anyway, it worked great. They don't like trips to the vet, so I'll use it for that in the future, too.

I give them all the Cosequin with MSM & HA as well, in an attempt to keep the joints healthy.

Somehow an agility event came on after the cycling event this morning on Peacock and I watched both a French Bulldog and a JRT ABSOLUTELY BLISTER the course......with ZERO infractions!

Smart little dogs and their owner/trainers did a fantastic job there too.....

Cat brought us a present. Giving him to the neighbor kids.

Steve Carlton 07-08-2025 06:49 AM

Friendly wild squirrel? And not injured by the cat being taken in unwillingly? Seems odd!

varmint 07-08-2025 12:49 PM

Just a baby. Think it was in shock last night. Gave him a warm bed and some food. He woke up this morning in combat mode.

The cats have him marked for death. Another meal then release in the neighbor’s yard where there are fewer predators.

Found this sticker online and ordered one. Looks just like my girl.

Mia's half sister Zora (named after my poodle) is "huge now" according to my breeder. I think she's stunning:

Dogs aren't my first love, but my granddaughter was so broken hearted from the loss of the old Dog last fall that when the opportunity presented itself, this tiny fur ball came into our lives. Our Border Collie seems to like it. Our old cat is aghast that such a thing exists. The pup seems to like my slippers.
