Holy schnikeys! That's for real, and WAY too close to home. I'm in Gaithersburg, and my girlfriend is just a couple of miles south of you near Catholic University.

... And I just re-roofed 500 square feet of my roof, too. Fingers crossed, and thanks for the warning.

I just got a report from Fort Dix that the eye is over head now. Good news considering high tide is about 8PM.

Here are some pics from earlier today.

10th & Central Avenue these two pictures were taken at basically the same location. The Kayaker is rowing in toward where the pick up was parked just a few hours earlier. This is near dead center of the island East to West. Not the highest point but close.

One of our properties, the black awning in the right of photo. This was taken last night. We have had reports the water made it to the bottom of the windows. (This photo is looking West. The Ocean would be behind you.)

It's hard to imagine the scale of this. I pray you guys are keeping safe.

Thanks for posting pictures, too.

This photo is looking East toward the ocean one block south of the photo above. The Beach can bee seen at the end of the street. While not the same street (200" difference) the photo below was taken basically from the middle of the street by the stop sign is in the photo above.

I can't say for certain but as New Castle is up the bay not far from Wilmington, Philadelphia area I would guess nothing major as of now. Nothing major on the news coming from Philadelphia some down trees and power outages but that's about it. Manayunk and Darby havn't even reported any significant flooding so far. Nothing from Delaware other than the beach communities.

My guess is she is fine.

Hey...thanks for the report ! She emailed me Saturday and said she was getting all prepared. I sent her an email earlier this evening...but I assume her power is out. I saw some TV reports about Cape May and Rehoboth Beach which arent too far from her I believe... and things looked nasty !
We will all hope for the best for everyone back there.

Thanks again
