I forgot. I got that gun for free and knew at one time what it was. It's a .22 if that helps.

Couple hand held units, the Glock is gone. it was a 32. 357 Sig, kicked like mule. I like the 1911 much better.

I have one of those. I bought it for $75 at an antique store when I was 10. Got it for my dad for father's day. We put it on lay away so it wouldn't be in the house for him to find. Finally, my mom told me to go pick it up and I did. I walked and carried it about a mile down the main street of our town to the church where my mom's car was parked. No one said a word to me about it. Those were the days.

My buddy carries a Glock 32 in .357 sig. It's the only Glock I have ever shot. Was wondering if they all kick like that one does. I thought it was ridiculous. I prefer my 1911 as well.

.357SIG is a hot round and it will kick a lot more in a tupperware gun. I have a SIG P226 with a .357SIG barrel and, while it's very stable and consistent, it has a serious crack and bark to it and it always makes me wince a little when I fire carry rounds. That's why I carry a Glock in .40. It's enough power without being too much for the lighter gun.

I think most guns in one of those calibers take interchangeable barrels. At least you can definitely go from .357SIG to .40; not sure about the reverse. I'm going to range later today and swapping in my .40 barrel because .357SIG ammo is much more expensive and I only have a few boxes of JHPs for it, which are too good for range work.

Same rim dimensions, same case diameter (except the neck, of course) and cartridge OAL is very similar. .40S&W -> .357SIG should be a non-issue, though I can't think of a good reason to do so. I would rather have a spoon dedicated to .38 Super.

I don't know how that Stg can be made legal. If it wasn't registered during the '68 amnesty, I don't see how it's transferable. It belongs in a museum. I've heard of some cases around here where some old man died and his widow went to sell his guns and found unregistered MG's that, well, let's just say, remained unregistered and went underground for very little money. The problem with those is like stealing a piece of well-known art. You can't sell it for what it's really worth because there's no legal way to own it. I can't imagine someone using a Stg in a crime. The ammo is hard to find and the gun is worth more (if legal) than you'd likely net in a bank robbery.

it wasn't chicago. the cops would have arrested the old woman, confiscated to gun, and shot a puppy with it.

I got to shoot a full auto one of these a while back at an event sponsored by SIG. Sure was nice to not pay for that ammo.

One day I'll do an 80% 1911
The STG looks like it's in the property room. I guess their giving her a month or so to find paper and if not off to a museum. and dewalt. a few years back a M14 showed up at a gunstore via a widow here in Socal. That gun got removed from circulation. I've been offered non papered guns no thanks. Also there was a widow turn in of a couple hundred WWI rifles and other fun items in Socal. The cops shut down the road in front of the station.
