No pic, but a funny read.

Anyone looking for a damn nice M1 Garand? close to correct. The nicest barrel I have ever seen on a Garand. Uncut oprod, single slot gas plug. Just a damn nice Garand all laws will be followed.

Took two of my latest builds to the range yesterday. One with the Unertl scope is "Big Louie" and is a 50 caliber bench rest muzzle loader. It shot a one MOA group at 200 yards with patched round balls. The under hammer is "Little Rosie" and put 5 total 540 grain cast bullets into one large hole at 200 yards. It uses 209 shotgun primers and really makes that black powder light off.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1469031516.jpg

If I had some extra cash around I would take you up on that in a heartbeat.

New purchase Peter?

This is my target .22. Not as good as the Walther though. It's a Belgian made Browning.

^^^ VERY Nice Bill.

The Walther is on my dream list right now. It's nearly 4k at the gun store in town! (EDIT: With electric trigger)

I've been looking around and jumping through the "local" hoops to get a licence.
My club is brilliant. Lots of Cops and ex Cops are members.

Bill Douglas 08-16-2016 12:54 AM

One or two guys at the pistol club have the Walthers with the electric trigger and like them. Mind you there are some really ancient Walthers that are still shooting really well.

Another one to think about is the Feinwerkbau.

Very rarely.
The last time I shot my Colt (1 1/2 years ago) I shot this target. The piston had been resting for 25+ years.

15 shots, 25 yards, 45 seconds. 7 shot magazine. 30+ year old hand loads.

^^^ nice shooting.

I did something similiar a few years back in high power competition.

AR-15, iron sights, 200 yards, sitting rapid fire 60 seconds with a magazine change.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471369850.jpg

Then on a different range, AR15, 100 yards, iron sights, prone, single fire, 20 rounds, 20 minutes.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1471370404.jpg

I need to load up some ammo and get back to shooting high power competition.

The FN Browning only cost only cost $400 Kiwi, that's AUD$378, and USD$290. So a good entry level shooter doesn't need to cost alot. It shoots better than me.

sc_rufctr 08-17-2016 01:48 AM

Thanks Bill. There are some nice second hand target pistols for sale locally.
