That looks like a P220 Carry.

Here's my latest parking lot score.

Was going back through the thread. The "Charleton Heston's basement" pictures actually belong to a different private collector who isn't otherwise notable, as I recall. I don't remember the guy's background or his name, but it's definitely not Heston's.

These two pics perfectly illustrate why I think that SIG just doesn't "get it". The purpose of the roundbutt/bobtail is to improve concealability and reduce printing by eliminating the sharp point on the mainspring housing. Then they go and ship theirs with a non-flush magazine. WTF?

This is even more egregious--they put a magwell on an Officer's frame. With the original Officer's design, the grip frame was shortened for a purpose! So now you have the limitations of an Officer's magazine capacity but the overall length of the grip frame has been bumped back up to that of the Government model. And of course mags require a bumper now...

I think that SIG is just throwing every mod they can think of at the 1911 and hoping it sticks. Some of the mods are at complete cross-purposes. So bizarre....
Re: the magwell on the officer frame SIG, could it be intended for a competition class that has an overall size requirement? That might explain it if so, it gets a magwell into the footprint of a full-size 1911. I've seen some pretty bizarre stuff resulting from series that require the gun to fit into a box or whatever.

Hoping to have a 911 to take to Rennsport V

Not with those Crimson Trace grips--I'm not aware of any comp that allows laser sights. Then again, I'm not into the whole competitive shooting thing.
