That post
went for $305!!! Oi....5 minutes later it's twin went for even more... Geez, If I could find an engraver or a machine..... |
25 mm Super Record post in good used condition, not NOS - $50-75 I'd guess. They are only really used by a few frames - carbon tube Vitus 979 or 992, maybe some carbon tube ALANs, etc. So the pool of buyers is limited, but those who want it, really want it. Use a reserve to protect against none of those people happening to be around when your auction goes off. Like a $50 reserve at least.

Isnt the 27.2 size used for the PX-10 frames?
|
26.4 mm or 26.6 mm for your PX-10.
Being French it used metric 531 tubing, which was smaller diameter inside and out than the British/ISO 531 tubing used in Raleighs etc. It therefore takes a smaller seatpost. The ISO tubing 531 frames (usually) take a 27.2 mm. The metric 531 tubing is a bit lighter than the ISO, at the same frame size. |
Smaller seat post may fit with a shim sleeve but is best to find the right sized one.
|
The correct seatpost for your PX-10 is a chromed steel Simplex. Personally I'm looking for a NR post as an upgrade. The Simplex is heavy and my chrome isn't in great shape.

Bought a Seasucker rack, so far impressed with it. I can finally drive a fun car to the trailhead, so far no issues with suction loss on cups ect, but I must say that first drive on the highway as a little nerve racking. Here it is mounted the my 240, 911 will be next, I actually reversed it from this pic, back wheel first. Seemed to move less at speed that way.

Would love to find one like Mike posted above. Hoping my "bike specialist" has one in stock that can be added to the bike. Joe |

My CL find, Cannondale Capo. I figured it would be a good bike for the car track to run around on so I put the toe strap pedals on but after riding it a bit I may have to put some "Combo" pedals on so I can clip in. It's a lot of fun, its light ( to me ) around 18 lbs with the stock wheels on. The yellow front wheel is a spare set I was just seeing how it fix/handled.

Mike,
You might do a search on CL for parts. I was stuck out on a flight yesterday and searching CL for Campy stuff when you called. Found numerous people selling parts all around the country so its worth a look. Joe |
What did that cost you? Good find....
BTW, no one has a Shimano tat.... http://campyonly.com/images/tattoo/ted-tattoo.jpghttp://www.sheldonbrown.com/images/leoego-tattoo.gif http://campyonly.com/images/tattoo/PC%20tat.jpg http://www.sheldonbrown.com/images/blouson.gif http://www.sheldonbrown.com/images/blouson-leoego.gif |
