Yep, my Casati had it too. The pain is fishing the cable back to the RD. Getting that tube to come out near the rear dropout is always impossible.

Think you got what it takes to ride like Chris Boardman? :)

I'll probably give that a shot and see if the color is close enough. I just found some NOS Olmo vinyl tape from the 70s and put it on my Alpineer. Love the vinyl - good grip, looks vintage and easy to clean.

I watched a documentary on Fixies last night; it's called "Fixation" and it's available for streaming on Netflix.

VERY nice Colnago Master

Re: TTT criterium bars. I found those NOS on fleaBay. Also recently found an NOS 1984 Avocet Criterium saddle that luckily fits my rear end perfectly. Shortly after these photos yesterday, we did a 2.5 hour ride in pouring rain ... she don't look so pretty this AM. Rode hard and put away wet. Literally :D

Nice Alpineer! I have a 7400 groupset on an '89 Peugeot Carbon Pro, rides well, better than c-rec!

^^^ beautiful steel frames above. Rode a century today and guessing there were 600+ entrants, majority being carbon framesets. Rarity and a real treat to see a few quality vintage steel frames period dressed.
