Exactly. The pedal bracket supports the entire weight of the bike. But the bike can rotate depending on the friction of the wall surface. So there are small brackets under the tires. They don't really carry any weight.

That pic was in the mock-up stage. Took a bit of adjusting and re-adjusting bracket angles and spacing to get the bikes to 'nest' properly.

I bought this bike mount on Amazon for $22 that's advertised elsewhere for $45:

It really is a great system. Easy to remove or replace any of the 3 bikes and no bike contact except the pedal. + it makes for a nice display.

I put mine at the front door too, but not in a position to easily get it down. I had several recent trick or treaters say, "hey, there's a bicycle up there!"

Agreed. Those three bikes look great all stacked up on the wall like that....

Hey- out of curiosity, who bought my Viner frame some years back (off PP) ? Did anything ever get done with it? Even if it got trashed or sold off, It would be cool to know!

(I'm salivating at all these cool bikes hanging off walls)

Most frequent question from non-cyclists when seeing the setup: my god, why do you have 3 bikes!? Answer: because I sold 4 that I didn't have room for.

Just ran across this and thought I'd share. I love seeing different parts of the country, and some cool bikes. Wyoming, Michigan, Ct... Columbia river, etc... Even a woman's bridgestone I used to build in the mid 80's when I worked in a bike shop! enjoy!

Emergency impromptu bikecamping pics:

From Where: not exactly known
Decided- tonight
Stardate- tommorrorrrowwww.
Weather- lows in the 20's
Highs- 30's
To Location - Not known. Some mountain on wv/va border.
Preparation- zero.
Miles- unknown

I've thrown four bottles of water's worth, a bottle of wine, a hammock tent, a bottle of advil, a sleeping bag, and some spare tires onboard a trusty rig I pulled out of a neighbor's trashcan in 1998. I will load clothing, food, and gloves/hat, and a bic lighter tomorrow.

What could go wrong? (Great adventures take risks)

Countdown pic-

The article is long, but well worth the full read.
