That... that does not look fun at all. And even if it is fun cleaning that thing... the time.... jesus.

Saw this on YouTube. Coverage like this could make the sport more fun to watch than anything else on tv.

It's a bike. It's electric. It's a hotel luggage cart.
![]() The front suspension setup is pretty cool https://www.yankodesign.com/2022/06/23/this-multi-level-japanese-cargo-trike-is-high-on-storage-space-and-low-on-gimmicks/ |

Given back my frameset from nearly 30 years ago, I had loaned it out to a teammate of mine when I was still racing; it wasn't fitting me right for the type of cycling I was doing.
The paint job is still one of my fav.

I know you probably think this would be sacrilege, but the Colnago with it's wonderful patina and provenance would make a really cool single speed for jaunts around the neighborhood, meeting up with friends at a close-in pub or cafe, just a 'park bike' for nice days.
It's beautiful, and I'm happy for you that you got it back!

I love that Colnago. I built one up for myself around 1981.

Gorgeous Colnago! I wouldn't change a thing on that - just load it up with vintage parts and take it for a spin.

That Colnago was one of my fav road bike back in the early 90's.
The Wordperfect Racing team was a big influence in my early days of road racing. Nowadays I've become the old grouch in the video:

Steel is real baby! That Colnago is awesome. I'd build it up period-correct and ride the crap out of it.

Ha! At least you guy are riding 'em or plan to.
I might have mentioned this here before. We built this one up few months ago for my kid with period correct DA 9 spd. I would have done with more modern parts as being period correct isn't a big deal to me but I have a couple groups of it hanging around from bikes past why not. Anyway, he helped (age 16) and got it done. WE went out for a ride and he rode it exactly one time. Came home, hung it up where this pic was taken and that was it. He has a 23 Trek Emonda with 12 spd Ultegra. I am not sure if I should mad or sad? I should understand because I didn't like the half chrome forks on bikes from the late 70s when I started riding in the mid to 80s. Thought they were too old looking. ![]() Oh, its Masterlight BTW |

My daughter doesn't get riding like I do. She doesn't like star wars either.
![]() Does he ride the Trek Emonda? I remember riding friend's Colnago's from the late 80's. Works of pure art, but not much different than my Bridgestone 700 in ride quality. I rode much at 10-15. I remember when I turned 16. the bikes went into the garage until college. I was welding rocker panels on my 912. Little thing called driver's license. When I couldn't leave my car at school, my dad made me ride the bus home. I refused. Rode my bike 350 miles home instead. At the time, that was a life transformative adventure. Never looked back.

I think all steel have the similar ride to them. Of course there are differences between tube size or shape but for the most part, they ride pretty similar but the off the saddle stiffness is where it shows it true color of the builder. |

Byron,
Wow, is that your Yamaguchi frame? He left 3 Renso to the US and built frames for our national and Olympic team. I would like a 3 Renso frame someday. |

Steel is real, but so are bias ply tires. Muhahahahaa
They sure look pretty and that's the way a proper race bike should look with a flat top tube. |
