Bought a house with a 10 year old Bosch, best dishwasher in terms of cleaning anything and quiet I've owned. The spray arm for the upper tray broke at the base, It is currently repaired with a couple of zip ties and seems to work fine.

We bought a Bosch about two years ago to replace an ancient Maytag and were very disappointed. Spent about $700, got the stainless interior.

After about 18 months, the pump failed, had to be replaced. The warranty had just expired. Cost was about $350, IIRC.

Yeah, it's very quiet. But it doesn't do nearly as good a job as that old Maytag. To really get the dishes clean, we have to use the maximum, longest cycle at all times. I think next time I'll spend a little more and go with a Miele.

Mine was $200 off Craigslist. Stainless interior.

It's quiet and works really well with one exception; it will not wash peanut butter off a knife. And my water is very hot.

Ours is the SHE58C05UC_54 model and has a stainless steel interior and no exposed heating element, which I really like.

I didn't know that Bosch made a plastic tub DW? Maybe they do but I have never seen one. All the ones we put in have always been SS tubs.

I know that model

Pro's
pleasing design
Works very well in the beginning
Does have other , none washing functions

Con's
Very expensive to buy
Does not come with a clear manual
The extra functions decrease over time
No unwanted sounds at first, but the annoying , nagging sounds come soon after.
They may be delayed in time by means of a very expensive support contract.. Though in the end a lot of buyers end up getting it replaced...
There is a very expensive recycling charge involved with disposing the old unit due to Biohazards..

I knew that was forthcoming but didn't expect it to be so well said.

We had a mid-90's one in our house when we bought it in '02. It seemed to work well and looked nice, but it died a few years later.

Can't compete with the previous pictures but we got our SHU9956UC about 8 years ago and it has been working great for us with one exception. Last summer it stopped heating and I traced it back to the control board. There is no external relay for the heater element so the more than 10 amps during heating go directly through the board and the small relay on the board. I my case the relay was completely burned up. Not a very robust design in my opinion. Seems to be a common issue and a replacement controller is about $230. Other than that cleans very well (using soft water) and extremely quiet.

BTW, the solder joint in the left middle of the first pic is cracked as well. Not that it matters anymore.
