20 dead kids. I am sure some of them had other ailments which weakened them ... but if 60+ percent could have been prevented with a vaccine? I figured I'll post this before I forget ... ![]() G |

When I get the flu, it only lasts a few days. High fever, sweats, chills, aches. I stay in bed, sweat it out, eventually the fever breaks and I'm woozy but on the mend. I vastly prefer that sort of flu experience to the endless colds that seem to circulate in the winter. My cold last year went on for three weeks. If I ever had a really bad flu like you guys are describing, I'd surely feel differently.

Probably the sickest I have ever been was 15 years ago after getting a flu shot. Down for solid 10 days with massive fever. No more shots or flu for me.

I have a compromised immune system due to my bone marrow not putting out enough neutrophils and other WBC's, so I get the flu shot and hope for the best. So far, so good. Getting the flu could be the last thing I ever did.
