Karmann Ghia

That looks good, but its an 18 month/ $260.000.00 project according to them. Too much for me. Thanks for the pics.,

Maybe this accident was heavenly punishment for pronouncing "Porsche" as one syllable?? As I have done.

That's a different perspective on the door sill. I see it has a heave in it at the jack post. There is a bit of a weak spot right there which may turn out to be in your favor. You won't really know until you get in there. I definitely think I could fix that.

Yellow, you don't know me but if you can find any of my posts along 2005 thru 2007, you'd see some of the work I have done. I didn't post in OT then either.

Hi guys- The car is still in my garage, but I think I'm going to pass on fixing it. Had a body guy look at it, he thinks it's a very doable fix only needing a complete door, rear quarter with post and back half of sill (hopefully all with the quarter).

Then a couple of days on his frame straightener (laser deck) to make sure floor is square. Does need a pull for sure. Needs to make special plates to attach to the car.

Then a few days to paint it. Sounds easy, but I don't have the stomach for it. I think it's going to be sold this weekend, in any case.

Then will look for something else. Thanks for asking, will update as things progress. Picture was just before accident.

New replacement, I hope.

With any luck, this 993 should be in my garage by this Monday. Sorry about the small picture, (couldn't enlarge it, didn't know how)

Got new car

Picked up my new ride in Toronto, flew in/drove home, my wife and I. We like this
car and put 1702 KM on it from 2pm Friday to 10pm Sat night. Spent one night in a really cool resort in Vandreuil-Doiron Quebec called the Chateau Vaudreuil. A very nice spot. There were Bentleys and Jags, BM's Mercs and even a Porsche or two, but the door man told me OK to leave my car right in the check-in driveway out front. Thoughtful. He moved the Bentley so I could park there. Smart guy.

So all in all had a great mini vacation and a new ride safely home.

See the small dent just north west of the drivers door handle? That will be gone tomorrow. Engine bay not too clean but will be soon.

These 993's (95) are sure nice, well sorted cars.

Need a new left front lower valance end plate (with vent). Anyone have extra one. ?? Thanks for looking guys, cheers.

Congrats! That driver, that hit you, a soon as see you new ride will think: "DAM I T-boned him and he got a new car!!! I wish someone T-bone me ..." LoL...

And on the serious note - Good luck with a new car!!! ... I've heard that "you have to grab a hummer and hit it under somewhere lightly so it will not be hit later..."

my 2 c.-Y.

The A/C does work well but so did my '86, but the controls for heat and defrost are much less complicated. Almost normal actually.
