Obviously upkeep is the key. My car is mechanically sound but hadn't really been cosmetically loved, based on the cloudy carbon fiber trim it spent some time in the sun. I'll take care of the issues, and a 20% tint and sunshade should help keep it nice this time.

Word of mouth (shop that did my PPI and online forums) on the CF interior package is that it does not age well. Mine looks new and my factory options list (ordered through Suncoast) confirms they are not factory original.

Opposite Matt's car mine is mostly a stripper - not that there's anything wrong with a realtionship with a stripper...

2000 Porsche C4 Cabriolet

This is more like what I am looking for, just not into awd, or cabs. I think I could fix this car for 2k and a weekend or two of my time. Im half tempted to watch this car for a few weeks, let him fester, then shoot him an offer.

Cracked head is my guess, I'm sure you've already guessed as well (most common on 2000-01). Yeah, he's asking too much.

Both tips, which I think you want but most people don't...hence the lower price.

M.D. Holloway 11-25-2013 05:06 PM

Nope, I'm looking for an automatic...these two fit the bill just wondering why they are so inexpensive?

1990C4S 11-25-2013 05:33 PM

Oh, no real reason...

The emergency pull-cable to release the front hood is hanging out the right front cooling duct in the sixth photo. This means the battery had died / dies often or the front trunk release from the cabin doesn't work, and that is how the owner gets into the frunk.

That is just the tip of the iceberg, I am sure.

Truer words never spoken.

Someone has pulled the pin on that grenade. Do you want to catch it? ;)

Could be a bunch of small things you can fix over 6 months of driving, or it might be a grenade. Do you feel lucky today?

M.D. Holloway 11-25-2013 06:19 PM

nope, not feeling that lucky at all...

what do you all thnk of this one? The one I posted of the 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo, $31,777 - Cars.com?

Spotted this as.

2004 Coupe Black $20,450, cheaper than an Abarth 500.

2004 Porsche 911 Carrera, $20,450 - Cars.com

speeder 11-25-2013 06:58 PM

They are cheap. They're the bargain of the Porsche world right now. If a nice '04 with 100k miles is $20k, what is a '99 going to be worth?

Mike, if you're in any way considering this one, I can possibly lay eyes on it this Wednesday. I'll be just down the street. Literally a block away.
