That's a seller that wants out. Take $4k cash.

Good luck, that would be a fun project.

Not really the right time for me, but looks as if I will be dragging a 996 home tomorrow . I looked at the car, its decent, few dings, and small scratches. Probably some hardware missing, and a little funny business with the title. I think it will fly, we are to meet at the notary public in the morning , and see .
Now I gotta find a motor, I always thought the best way would be to buy a whole car, that was smooshed, and sell off other bits to offset the cost of the motor .
Got some research to do, but I have been planning this one for a while in the back of my head

Congrats Fred, what are your plans?

I really like the car that Sammy posted, the Aerokit makes an immense difference in 996 styling. I'd love to get an Aerokit car and swap the taco tail to a duck tail, it looks fantastic with the Aerokit side skirts and nose.

I'm thinking of showing those pictures of the burgundy Carrera to the wife.

I know she'll say go for it, but the last thing I need is another car to pay insurance on (5) and to figure out where to park it on street sweeping days etc.

Never thought I'd get to the point where I could easily afford a car like that and NOT want to buy it because of the hassle. I suppose I could start parking my pick-em-up on the street again ....

That gentlemen, is the definition of old fart.

That's a sick looking car. If you really want it, buy it. You work hard, might as well enjoy.

I hate her sometimes

Nice! 99 is the best year IMO. I like narrow bodies in black too.

Have you read through whiteout's threads about his LS1 conversion?
