Photo sucks, but this is my latest partscaster I finished last Sat.

I stole it as a NIB HSS MIM Strat for way below retail because is was not listed properly on eBay. I had EMG make me up a Kirk Hammett loaded pickguard in white, cut for a Floyd Rose. Then I found a real nice birdseye maple 22 fret neck on eBay and got it last Sat. Been breaking it in a lot over the last few days. Sounds and plays killer.

Yes, me and my youngest daughter made it over the past two days here in the living room since it has been so nasty outside.

At one time, I thought I really liked the arched top Les Pauls, but I now a days, I think that I prefer the flat top versions more. And yes Dave, they are like hard candy

If you built one you might as well build another. Nice job. I leaned to build and repair guitars from my cousin who is a high end Luther that made guitars for many stars such as Keith Richards and others..

Wow man, that is pretty cool... We built this one out of a scrap piece of pressure treated 2x12 I had left over from a job. I didn't expect much, but I like the way the ebony stain gave sort of a tiger stripe effect to it. The hardest part was hand routing the neck pocket for the strat neck I had. I made it a set in neck with JB weld and then installed the regular strat screws to it. Plugged it in and gave it a whirl and it sounded like a real guitar lol

Wow JB weld. I think tight bond wood glue would be just fine. That's what we use.

I will try to find the photo of the guitar my cousin built for Keith Richards. The guitars in my basement were made about five years ago. I like the tulip guitar. All made from rare woods that he had for twenty years.

Hey Nostril,

I highly approve of the tele. I want one, but the problem is, is that I only want one. I don't know which one I want. I know I don't want to pay crazy Fender prices, but don't want the low quality of a Squire type axe as well...

Hence why I'm building my own Tele. Its a nice dense chunk of ash.

Finally

Here's a photo of my brother's Les Paul mentioned at the start of this thread.
Sorry about the poor quality, it's a photo of a photo (you get the picture) as I couldn't bring it to PPOT from my e-mail.

Wish it was mine!
