We've had similar debate before regarding degree choice. We can argue all day about the value of an arts vs science degree, but you don't hear about many math or engineering majors working at Starbucks.

State college with in state tuition and a PhD in sciences is the way to go for optimizing ROI. And if one wants an MBA, have your company pay for it, for chrissakes.
