I'm no germaphobe but restroom doors creep me out.

The cleaner scrubs the toilet, scrubs the floor, but the door handle never gets cleaned.

Ewww, my favorite cafe, I don't think the door handle has ever been cleaned and you can feel a buildup on the other side So I always pull my sleeve down to have a barrier.

And I'm certainly not a cleanness fussy boy. I was eating in the filthiest looking Malay Chinese place you have ever seen and the bit of chicken fell on the floor so I picked it up and ate it

Amen brother. Funny, because the biggest germaphobes I know are also sick the most often. I wash my hands but don't douse myself in anti bacterial gel after using the bathroom like some of you.

I don't mind grease and dirt. I don't like the other guy's grease, dirt, pee, and whatever else he may have on his hands. I don't like air driers. Those Dyson air razors or whatever they call them are cool, but I prefer paper.

This reminds me of an Ohio/Kentucky joke (or chose you own ridiculed minority).
A Kentuckian finishes at the urinal and starts to walk out the door. An Ohioan at the sink says, "Sir, in Ohio they teach us to wash after we use the facilities."
The Kentuckian says, "Well, in Kaintuck the teach us not to piss on our hands."

The mens room had a sink, 1 urinal, 1 crapper.

One day I go in and the crapper is being used, while I'm doing my business at the urinal I hear the sounds of someone finishing up.

Billy walks out of the crapper, says hi and walks right out of the bathroom bypassing the sink.
I work with a guy and never got a good feeling from him, always seemed to rub me the wrong way and disagreed on basically everything (he was proven wrong each time BTW).

Till one day, the same restroom incident happened like yours. Hear him talking to someone as he was coming in and when he left the urinal, straight out the door.

I rarely get sick and am not a germaphobe. I too have found the freaks that have to have everything clean and germ free are the ones that get sick all the time.

My protocol as well...

ditto. Explains why kids are sick all the time now. God forbid they aren't anti-bacterilalized all the time, so they don't build up any immunity. When they do get sick...they get really sick.

I am seeing a lot of "Foot Plates" or foot handles. This idea is great except now I wonder where the Other Guys foot has been.

You might consider that the "freaks" became cautious because the were sick a lot. That seems more likely than getting sick from being cautious.

I listen to tons of Books on CD, every time i change CD's i use one of those alcohol wipes to clean my hands. I figure those CD's must be covered with germs.........not my good germs, of course.

Another gross thing is the key pads on ATM machines and credit card machines. They NEVER get cleaned!

Think about that next time you are at Starbucks getting a coffee and a snack.

I read the title and I thought this was going to be a thread showing pictures of all the symbols used to show gender. Maybe a new thread.
Oh we'll, back to not peeing on myself....

My two personal cents...

I'm a chronic nail bitter.... While I'm very good with my own personal hygiene, I don't just live at home. I don't get sick very often, but for when I have visited a hospital - Laid me out, twice....

Other than that, I have my down days, but with rest and maybe a confident belief in Airborne, I keep going.

I've had a couple of dentists as clients in my IT job... I try to wash my hands before I leave, but....

I think the more germs you ingest as a little tyke, the better...

By the time you're an adult it's too late, most of your immunities are developed when you are a kid. That's why I cringe when I see parents using anti-bacterial gel on their kids after they do anything. Kids are supposed to go outside and get covered in mud and God knows what else, it's good for them.

What's the difference between blue-collar workers and white-collar workers?

White collar worker washes hands after peein'

Blue collar worker washes hands before peein'

I seem to recall reading somewhere, years ago, that interior doors in public buildings have to open "in" so occupants can open the door even if the hall is filled with people trying to flee the building in the event of an emergency. As I recall, they can only open "out" if they open into a vestibule of sorts that wouldn't be blocked in mass exodus from the building.
