Lovin the thread, color me dark green jealous.

But one request if it's not too much, size.

I'm a big guy who doan fit in small cars. Even in my SC I had to move the seat all the way back and scrunch down and reach for the wheel.

When I dream about these awesome cars the one thing always comes to mind, would I fit in that thing?
I can't even climb into a newer vette without hitting my ear on the roof edge and getting a crick in my neck.

If you could comment on headroom, legroom, max allowable height, that's be awesome.

BTW I love the cayman, can't wait for the convertible version to come out

Sammy, I'm 6'1" and about 225. I tend to prefer sitting with my seat all the way down and close enough that my knees are still bent. Of the cars on here, I don't have an issue with any of them. Even the 986/987 I drive with the seat adjusted a few inches forward, so there's a little room to move backwards. I don't feel cramped in any of them. I do recall reading from taller people like Paul (Seahawk) that they feel the Boxster is small, he's a few inches taller than I. The Cayman has more headroom than the Boxster unless you have a hard top.

Matt, do you know anything about RX-7's?

My Dad's is headed my way - 1993 3rd Gen. He has been the only owner. I tried to fit in it since I wanted to drive it back across country rather than ship it. No f'ing way.

So, it will be the wife's.

Anything I need to know?

Your cars look great, btw. No surprise.

Paul, I know that I'm super jealous. The FD RX7 is one of my all time favorite cars, and in my opinion one of the most beautiful Japanese cars ever made.

I had an RX8 and absorbed some FD information, what I know:

Heat kills the rotary. They run hot and had cooling systems that were borderline inadequate. Upgrading the radiator and overflow tank is important, and consider a lower temp thermostat and cooling fan switch as well. The heat also tends to bake the hoses, so take a really close look at the vacuum and radiator hoses. If they're shot, get some silicone replacements in non-bling black.

They run rich, which kills the catalytic converter in the downpipe. If you can't go catless for emissions, if original you might consider replacing it. The cat will slowly plug, causing more heat, and the cycle continues.....

Racing Beat is awesome for parts and accessories, they actually did the engineering and parts for some of the factory Mazdaspeed cars. I'm sure there's other good suppliers as well.

Change the oil frequently, and check it with every fill up because they are designed to burn oil. I seem to remember that dino oil is recommended for them but I'm not 100% certain.

That's about all I can recall. Upgrade the cooling system, keep it in good tune, and you'll have a really fun reliable sports car.

Just in case anybody needs a family truckster, I am selling the 2013 Mazda5 Grand Touring that we bought new. Only 12k miles, in basically new condition. Really fun to drive and well laid out for the small size, also gets 28 MPG highway. With our growing family we are moving to a larger Honda Odyssey, which will likely get H&R springs and different wheels/tires to try and replicate the Mazda. After owning a sporty and fun to drive vehicle, my wife doesn't want to go back to a pig.

My 10 year old has an affinity for crab legs. Eating out on vacation in FL is not a cheap affair.

Here's the most recent acquisition.

2007 Boxster S with 45k. Really a unique car because of the options. Dark Teal Metallic is a color that I've never seen before. It has power adaptive sport seats, factory ordered hard top, PASM, sport chrono, PCM navigation, Bose, full leather interior, bi-xenon lights, sport wheel, short shifter, and the 19" Carrera Classic wheels. Somebody checked a lot of boxes when they ordered it.

I've posted before about my love of the Boxster, this one has really reminded me. They just have a fun feel to them that I find to be missing in the other Porsches, even the Cayman. All of them are really great cars, but I normally enjoy Boxsters the most.

This has been a fun few days. I located this 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon at auction for a customer, then did an AEV 2.5" lift, ARB bumpers front/rear, steps, spare tire relocation, IPF lights (wired to factory fog switch), bug deflector, mud flaps, and new 17" wheels with 35" BFG A/T tires. It was a surprise Christmas gift for his wife, I parked it at her reserved spot at the hospital (she's an OB-GYN) on Christmas Eve. Supposedly tears were shed.......

Then today, I helped out another Pelican with a surprise birthday gift for his wife. To say that she was happy is a total understatement.

I posted about the Mustang several years ago, it belonged to my grandfather who passed. It's a 1970 302 2v convertible with a C4 automatic, 44k original miles. He bought it in 1980 and I grew up riding in it. Very solid driver quality car that needs a few odds and ends to be ready for the street again. Not, and never will be, for sale.

Well done, Matt.

Just to reiterate for anyone who hasn't bought a car at distance, Matt makes the process painless, is honest to a fault and represents the cars he sells to a tee.

I really wish I had pulled the trigger on that Targa a few years ago. Snooze, lose.

I also wish I could borrow his car cleanliness OCD once a month or so
