Here's my most recent one. 2007 911S built by TPC Racing by the owner as a toy. PASM with GT3 RS Bilstein Damptronics, the suspension is a combination of GT3 and GT3 Cup, front brakes are GT3 Cup with a GT3 booster and master cylinder, Tubi mufflers, 2010 GT3 shifter with new cables, OEM GT3 front bumper with fully functional cooling vents, Cup center radiator, Cup front fender liners, etc etc etc. Incredibly well thought out and sorted car, as you would expect from someone that builds racing Porsches for a living.

Just an aside for anyone that has a newer 996/986/997/987, the 2010 GT3 shifter (metal bushings) with new cables is simply sublime. Best Porsche manual shifter that I have experienced, and I've driven a variety of them with the OEM SSK and aftermarket shifters. Smooth, low effort, positive shifting. If I ever upgrade a shifter again it will be with this setup.

Matt...so, tell us a bit more about your venture. Didn't realize you'd gone down this path. By this thread it looks like you robbed a bank and are buying cars as a form of money laundering...but I'm guessing that's not actually part of your business plan.

Are you now a licensed dealer? Doing the auction thing? How are you marketing/selling your cars? Inquiring minds want to know...no worries about competition from me...I'm 1000 miles away, just always thought of exercising the eff-you factor and doing something similar at some point. Kids in college now, etc., so more of a retirement thought down the road.

Nice inventory and descriptions, btw.

Chocaholic, yes I'm a licensed dealer. It saves me the hassle of registering each car prior to selling, and also saves me on paying sales tax for each car. I do some work with auctions online, I do flat rate locating for late model cars as well as purchasing for my inventory. I buy a lot of Porsches from individuals, mainly because I like to talk to the PO as well as get service records. I market entirely online through the usual sources, website should be up and running soon as well.

All AMGs suffer the same on the used market. I have 52k miles on my E55 and I know it is worth a fraction of what I paid, which does not bother me as I plan to keep it for a long long time this is also a "fantastic car".

Yup, my C36 was the same. Funny, because I'd take an AMG over a BMW M car any day. I wish I could get my wife to drive an E63 wagon.

Those are some awesome cars to drive around. It looks like loads of fun but it has to be a lot of stress to always be thinking about how to make the next sale and move forward.

Yeah, there's definitely some faith involved. It's on me to buy desirable cars, get them up to a high standard, and have room for a profit. It's also a learning process, some things sell better than others. I have to temper my car guy instincts, for instance the C63 was motivated by want vs profit potential. Fortunately I've had more wins than losses.

It's a pretty sweet car. To say that it's overkill for the street is a total understatement. I can't imagine how much fun it would be on a track.

For a fun street drive I still love the 987. I just picked up a 2007 Boxster S yesterday that is fantastic. 44k, full leather, sport chrono, PASM, hard top, short shifter, Carrera Classic 19" wheels, adaptive sport seats, nav, Bose, etc, all factory optioned. Someone spent a small fortune on this car when new, and they picked all of the right options. The only thing it lacks to be perfect is PSE, but that can be easily remedied with a good sport muffler.

I think we all dream of giving our bosses the Eff Yu, that they so deserve and start buying and selling high end cars. My dreams in retirement aren't so lofty, but to just buy/fix/sell vehicles for extra spending money and boredom relief. You have some great looking vehicles here, and if you can't sell it, you can deliver that 997 to my driveway.

On the lower end of things I drive a 95 M3 as my weekend toy. In stock for it is kinda Meh. but with the upgrades in this car it is quite fun and relatively inexpensive compared to the rest of the rides here.

Has 3x the spring rate of stock. AST 4100 shocks / struts, bigger sway bars by double the rate, headers, 3" exhaust, CAI, chip, short shift gear lever, lower X-brace, new suspension bushings everywhere, 255/45-17 tires on 9" rims. Hauls butt makes wonderful noises and it's red and shiny.

I'll make you a damn good deal on the C63. Like wholesale damn good. I'm going to lose money on it, I need to just sell it to fight another day. One of those hard lessons to be learned doing this as a job - buy with your brain, not your heart. It's simply a fantastic car, but not to make money on.
