Sounds excellent. I had a 2006 BMW 320i so I'm used to hair dresser jokes

Garage
Every Tuesday AM between 7:30 and 10:00 is a Cars and Coffee on the north east corner of Swan and Grant at the Starbucks, mostly old British cars but I show up there once and a while in a Porsche as do a few others. Good group of old guys meet there.
I second the Sonoran hot dogs and pretty much any of the taco wagons have great food that are found all around the town.
The Mexican food is very good In Tucson as a general rule.
Besides cars, Tucson is a great bike riding place. Lots of bike lanes and bike riding activities.
Mt lemmon is a great ride 26 mile ride up and the Saguaro National Mt. are great places to ride your bike or car.
As mentioned, Bisbee is a great destination for a overnight trip and there is good wine tasting at vineyards on the back roads through Sonita and Elgin on the way there.
Traffic is pretty bad during rush hour and it gets hot in the summer but no place is perfect.
Cars do not rust here but the sun will destroy interiors if not protected, shade becomes a must and sunglasses for you.
There will be some changes to the way you think. Many activities stop in the summer like track events, and starts again in the fall when it cools down.
Have fun and enjoy the trip and hope it works out for you to stay

did the same thing, VA to AZ a year ago July. That way I got my first heat in quickly. In Phoenix, not Tucson, but I do love AZ. if I can turn a master plan into a design job, I may be spending a lot of time in Tucson. Hope it works out for you

I'll be in town on the 4th Sid, I am doing interviews on the 5th and 6th, but will have the evenings free. I hope we can catch up at some point. I really want a Sanorian hot dog now after doing some research

Good luck, we've lived in Az since '03 and love it. Drive my P car all year long...no rust, no frozen bolts, just a little dust.

Paul, normally your road trip advice is beyond reproach. But having spent time in both Ajo and Gila Bend, I struggle to conceive of either as a destination. Though the Mecican food at Sophia's in Gila Bend is quite good.

We are actually being kind, this woman was nothing but a Schyler whore who grew up with nothing and now that she has money she thinks she is better than everybody else, and her a55 is literately 6 times bigger then the rest of her, add to that the fact that she is not attractive in any way shape or form. *shiver*

And to further clue everyone here in on the inside joke is............. that she was the 'service manager' for both Rick V and I (at separate times) for a small BMW / Porsche shop. She was also the owners' wife. The only bigger than her @ss was her attitude!
