In a situation like this you tell your wife, girlfriend or both... I don't know what it's doing outside but in here they're calling for 6-8" all night long

Saw this two weeks ago on the road to Badger Pass in Yosemite. Now Badger is closed due to lack of snow. Maybe the State should loan it to the east coast?

Close up. I used to live in W. Stockbridge, MA. It looks like they are in the 24-36" range.

Except, that I lived west of a North-South ridge. Our side of the valley would always get a lot more snow due to the updraft.

Can't - metro NYC area has a ban on travel from 11:00pm until ?? - except for emergencies and snow removal vehicles. All bridges and tunnels into and out of NYC have been shut down as of 11:00pm.

Over-reaction, but at least there won't be folks out there getting in the way of the snow removal folks.

Methinks folks in the Buffalo area are all laughing at us now....

Snowmaggeddon, deadly, historic!

Give me a break.

Lived in the NE my entire life.

It's winter, it snows.

Better get to the store and buy TP, milk and bread.

I don't know anyone who has ever been snow bound for 3-4 days. Never.

Within a day and a half, at most, roads are normal.

Sensationalize everything.

Grow up, have the boys descend, and go out and drive.

Snow storms are the best time to go out and hone your car handling skills.

To the inevitable poster that will comment about irresponsible driver and immaturity, blah, blah, blah. We go to the mall parking lot or similar open spaces.

Just heard, record setting,, catastrophic .

Christ, you friggin' kidding me?

Must be low blood sugar, dinner time!

Stay safe.
THANK YOU! When your news runs 24/7, gotta have something to discuss. Fan the fires of panic and hysteria, keep them watching from their bunkers as it lightly snows outside. Wait, it's cold and snowing during the winter? Nooooooo!

What a bust. Here in Western NJ, we got about 3-4 inches from yesterday morning through last night. At least I won't be spending quality time with the snow blower today.

I watched the news this morning. In the entire world last night only on thing happened. It snowed.
I don't mind covering something like this as a news story, but the media has gone completely off its rocker over weather.

Jim Cantore wouldn't have a job and be in the way of the snowplows if it weren't the "STORM OF THE CENTURY", it gives the weather channel a reason for being.
