June?

45 degrees, pissing 36-degree rain, gray and dreary. This is supposed to be June?

This is a big part of why I'm getting the hell out of the northeast. This place is for the birds. Actually even the birds are smart enough to not stay here - they all leave for half the year!

Hope it's warmer and more enjoyable wherever you all are. At least there was some decent surf yesterday but even in a wetsuit it started getting cold after about 20 mins. Didn't stay long.

Counting down the weeks and planning my escape.

It's Winter here... Cold but dry right now although there's rain on the way.
I don't mind it so much. The trick is to keep moving. Sitting around is the worst thing you can do.

The only problem is working in the garage. Maybe I should get one of those gas turbine heaters.

Good sleeping weather, no complaints from me. Upstate NY, the **** wx keeps the people away, just the way I like it.

Today makes the fourth day of overcast, rainy, and colder temperatures. Not the normal weather for June in these parts. I must not have paid my New York weather tax bill

Well, we had some rain in May, Gray May this year but as you know June will be June Gloom. Not bad right now just not real warm yet. Nothing new for SoCal.
Things could be worse, you could have been living in Texas these last few weeks.
I tried to get my wife to move from SoCal but it just didn't work. We finally bought another place close to here. You can check out but you can never leave.

Typical June Gloom here,
marine layer keeps it overcast until around noon, then the sun comes out and it goes from 68 to 73. All month.

Next month it'll be clear and 84 every day. The month after that it'll be clear and 87 every day.

How cold does it get down there?

Typical social weather for the pass few months, 70ish. AC button had been pressed on "auto" and will stay on until november in all our cars. June Gloom has been nice to me, still I have the farmer's tan from riding throughout winter.

POP, where will you ever be happy? It was 105 deg. in Phoenix yesterday and summer has barely started. But my pool is up to 85 deg., so that's nice.

^^^ this has been a bit of an odd year, as May has been June Gloom in Santa Monica. And Memorial Day weekend we turned back from riding the Crest as it was freakin' cold on the bike. But we're getting sun by afternoon and even with the gloom it is still in the 60's. That's why we pay the SoCal tax...

Yep, until they really live here, many will never understand. so we deal with a little traffic, there's always a way around that.

In NW Ohio we don't generally have June gloom like we did over the weekend, it's usually hot, humid, and sunny in the 80-90 degree range.

We do however have Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar gloom.

We are having the same gloomy colder weather here also. Not that bad, it's only a couple of days.
We trade our crappy weather for a decent quality of life . Its a nice place to live, and raise a family here. It's all what you make of it.
Hope you find some happiness POP, although, you have to realize that it comes from within . If I let the weather get to me , I would have popped one between my eyes a long time ago .
Where you headed now? I didn't mean to sound like a dick in my first post. Just curious where your next great adventure lies .
You have done the two southern corners, and now the northeast corner, are you heading to Wash/oregon now, or a flyover state, back to Cali ?

Palo Alto is pretty tough to beat, SD is nice too, weather wise.

Been really cool here, tomatoes are just not taking off like they usually do, and the peaches are small, even with pretty aggressive thinning and pruning.
