We did it six times in three years.....I can't believe that reasonably intelligent people think these were faked.

Guess these are faked as well:

Heck yeah, it's all faked.

cashflyer 09-21-2015 06:04 AM

Obviously fake.
Everyone knows that Texas isn't in the middle of the ocean.

A friend of mine has fallen into the planet X/chemtrails/Jade Helm hole and is now seriously suggesting the earth is flat. I worry about him...

As for Pluto being dumped as a planet:

Just look at the SR71. It was designed with NO computers at all. Just slide rules and genius. It is still WAY beyond what any other country has ever built for speed and altitude. Nothing can touch it. Not even close.

They used computers

There may well have been some computers used in the production of the SR-71, I don't know that just a guess. They sure as heck were very primitive number crunchers nothing like the CAD design computers used in aerospace design currently.

They had some real super computers with 4 or 8 KB of core memory back then. Zero graphics, just numbers.

I love that one too. To really get the full benefit you need to watch some of his other videos showing him ambushing the astronauts and getting in their faces. He had this coming. The best part is he cried to the police and tried to get them to press charges against Aldrin and they refused.

He landed a SOLID hit for an old guy. I love it. I frequently tell people that the penalty for a punch in the nose is far too excessive in modern society.

Apollo missions were designed using both slide & electronic calculation. Guess which had the last word?

Computers were in use by most designers by the late 1950's. Skunk works was no exception. Not like today. A lot was by hand, and for engineers that meant slide rules.

Here is a really big (equal to 41 feet long) slide rule.

Our High school had one of these bad boys chained to a wall in 1979 in the Science department. I expect it was more than 10 years old.

Close up of the display - not LED, each number was a separate filament in the tube.

I've a relative who tells me all sorts of awesome stuff. He doesn't deny the moon landings but did says that its been proven the B2 bomber's "engines" are too small. It can only stay in the air with anti-gravity. How about that? Hiding anti-gravity in plain sight!

Anyway, here's some "teach the controversy" tshirts:

I've got a degree in mechanical engineering and a masters in materials engineering. I'm not exactly a stranger to math. But I don't know WTF this person is trying to say. It purports to answer a layman's question, but doesn't bother to use layman's language to do it. Science needs to learn to communicate.

A better way for her to have explained it is.

You can see a building from a mile away but can you see a flea from 10 ft away?
