Great design. Good luck to them. I admire people who have a go.

Interesting. I'm designing a pantry cabinet for my kitchen and was thinking about adding some hidey spots for, well, stuff.

You won't reconsider? I'd be very interested.

My car came factory built with a hide hole. I'm considering beefing it up and putting a lock on it so I can use it for a stash box.

Nice but a couple of things I find problematic (all easily fixable I think):
The loud "beep beep" keypad - if there's an intruder in the house and you're trying to QUIETLY retrieve your firearm, do you really want that obnoxious beeping tipping them off? I REALLY don't like electronic keypads at all. My gun safe and boxes both use good old-fashioned mechanical locks. No batteries to die, nothing to corrode (so long as it's kept oiled), simple. Other than that it's not a bad solution and looks to be nice craftsmanship too.

I'd like to see a hidden spring-loaded cable pull, for example. Great idea, his.

I can turn off the beeps on my safes' keypads. Should be an available feature.

I like the keypads because unless you wear the key on a chain around your neck it may not always be handy if you need it in an emergency plus they allow for your spouse to access easily as well. Everyones situation is unique and while the beeps may not work for some they work for others. For instance, you'll know if someone is trying to access it, like kids. In my house the security system is engaged for a good part of the day. I generally set it early evening when I know we are in for the night. When set to "stay" mode any attempts at entry will set it beeping until it's disabled. The beeping from the alarm system sounds exactly the same as from pretty much any digital keypad. ie; any intruder is going to think they are hearing the security system.
