People have been pushing the rules and the boundaries here for so long, it has become the natural order of things.
Moderators can edit the crap out of a thread. Moderators can shut down or move threads that are out of the context of a forum. Moderators can set the tone instead of taking their example from the poopyheads. We can't enforce the rules about not being dicks, because the dicks all say they like being dicks. Well they would. How's that working ? |

I think you should leave Phil alone because there is THIS :D

The market surprises me ... My 951 stock 43k mile near perfect car sales for $19700 and my 1978 911sc that's In RS trim, race prepped 2350 lbs 295 bhp documented raging bull with new paint only bids to $22,000 ... The engine build costed more than that ... And it's totally street worthy less heat exchangers and being loud as heck ... I usually get it right with valuation and I really thought it would bring $40-60k... I was way wrong ... Targa hurts it more than I thought maybe ... That line from A pillar to the ass in the 911 coupes is just the nuts I guess ... Anyway I'm happy as I only wanted to sell the Carrera RS tribute car because of its high value and because I just bought the much discussed Bentley ... So next on ebay will be my 914 EFI 2.0 in signal orange ... Great car ... Somewhat Rare Color ... And a blast to drive ... And it will probably sell in the teens ...
|
I bet everyone here has stories they could tell about cars they sold and later regretted - especially for the price they sold them for.
The 914's seems to be appreciating pretty good, aren't they. The 2.0 is a great engine too. Might want to hang onto her(?) |
Good to see you back.
I just sold a fantastic 3,6L SC Targa earlier this year. Targas are a slow sale as they are an acquired taste. You just need to list it on the right sites and let the buyer come to you. I would list it here, at the PCA site and on the excellence site. The car is worth closer to $40K than $60K. GLW future sales. |

I've not taken pics or listed 2.0 914 yet ... I'd consider selling it because I've another 2.0 914 in willow green ... I might also sell my 1979 Alfa Romeo 2a series car ... It's also great and will go for under $10k ... These cars do much well with strong 2.0 engine twin Dellortos five speed gearboxes and a super functional soft top and plenty of lateral space inthe cockpit ... They're Probably the best value in the collector car market IMHO ...
|
If either of the 2.0 914's are 73's, orange or green, I would be very interested. 74 or 75 would work as well, but not worth as much to me.
|
Both are 72s ... As I like the bumpers better ...both with 73 running gear ...
|
My 2.0 914 is a '72 as well. :)

^spambot reported^
You should hold on to the 914 a few more years, they are going to take off pretty soon I think. |

It didn't come across as bragging to me. I'm just sad (to put it mildly), that I did not pay more attention in school, maybe then I could have had a garage like that... ;) |
