Ha.
Old Fahrts and Star Wars ? Kids will suck it right up. I'm guessing there will be a few surprising plot developments that will just piss some of you right off. Good. I'll probably enjoy it. It's just a movie with epic overtones. CGI ? Bring it on. Henson, Dead he is. Happy to go to the movies, I am, if still kicking I shall be, HMM ? Midichlorians ? I have a mouthwash for that. Try to have fun, it's just a movie. You know, for kids... |

Well, not like Lucas was hurting for money , or couldn't afford what ever he wanted.
Sure it is a lot of money, but when you already have enough money for anything you want, selling your dream just shows who & what you really are. They even have "star whores" Hot Wheels, is nothing sacred anymore?

Big Star Wars fan here, and don't like the new Disney method of over pre-exposure and hype.…but there are a couple Star Wars promotional products I can get behind…

Hugh, In all honesty hasn't the magic kingdom peaked? Isn't Star Wars going make Disney hip again?

I'm going Friday night. Have re-watched the original trilogy with the kids to bring them up to speed. I probably wouldn't have gone to the effort of going on opening night, but a milfy parent at my kids' school bought a bunch of tix and asked us along.

We have tickets for Thursday night at 7. I am totally geeking out. We are going to a special showing where everyone paid a little extra for tickets so that we could help pay for children at an abuse shelter come to the viewing.
Nothing is more fun than seeing a movie with true fans; people who have loved the story and characters their whole lives and kids who may see it for the first time. One of my best memories as a parent, watching the original trilogy with my son(3 years old at the time) when it came out on dvd the first time.
