unfinished wood in a rental property? That would be like putting pure white shag carpeting in a hunting lodge.
Contest the charge. |

Finally after exchanging some nasty emails and some feet dragging from their part I got the rental agency to fully refund the 400 €.
I had to use some strong words and threaten them with a lawsuit and bad publicity on the social media. My friends think it may have been some kind if scam. I personally think it was mere ineptitude on their side. All is well that ends well. Now it is time to plan new year's trip 😊 |

are you sure you didn't have a drunken fry-up before passing out?

Good job. Give yourself a 'pat on the back'.
The owners are stupid. Now go out and have more fun.

Ah, ski rentals... Mine was slightly different, cheap ersatz of Air BnB. We get there and (as it turned out, did not know then) the cleaning crew had left the wrong keys in the lock box. We paid - non refundable, we're there, all 12 people (sis inlaws with kids), door won't open - wrong key... It's 7F outside. After 2 hours outside trying keys, looking for someone, nobody calling back, young kids crying they are frozen, I broke the door. Found the correct key inside - documented findings and damage with pics... Then spent the entire stay evenings %$#% fixing their damn door jamb, trips to the local ace hardware, bought tools (annoying as I have those at home), repaired it better than new. They *never* called back over the week we were there. EVER. I'd be pissed about my time and cost of tools but... sometimes it goes the other way !!! I let it go... I'm booking hotels now, better idea anyway, too many family members in close quarters ;-)

Maybe list the details of your experience on tripadvisor.
