Get a Quad/ATV with a plow. Quick, easy, and fun year round. I can do my 200' driveway in about 15 minutes.

I bought a single stage Honda snowblower. If I did it again I would get a two stage that is self propelled. When my driveway is slick, even a slight grade, it's difficult to get the single stage snowblower up it. My solution was to buy crampons (spikes) that attach over my boots so I can push it up hill. Downside to two stage is it's footprint for storage, my single stage with the handle folded takes up very little room.

That is true, but I don't think you can do that for the $600-$900 budget he stated.

Had I not recently plunked down money on a new Kubota Zero Turn mower I would have seriously considered the Quad option... but I'm broke.

The plow is under $600....

ATV? Hell, this is america. The major mfgs are always offering 0% financing.

I had one. It was OK in a straight line, but a pain to maneuver around the parking lot. Mine was a 125cc Honda with full time all wheel drive. I put a kit in it to shift the front wheels out of gear and that made it maneuver better but then it didn't have enough traction. YMMV

I bought a 250cc 26 inch Troy Bilt from Lowes a couple of years ago. I've only had to spend a couple of hours re-engineering the controls so it would work.

I'd put a plow on the mower:

Looks like a universal kit is in the $4-500 range. My ZT is a Z725KH-60, how tough do you think plowing is on the transmission?

^cool. dumb question-Can the mower deck be removed from these zero turns? Seems like it would get caught up in deeper snows.

If it's a big storm, I plow multiple times. It's easy to push, remember the blade is angled and it just pushes to the side while driving forward. If you let it get deep enough that snow goes over the top of the plow, it gets harder.

That's not a snowblower...This is a snow blower

Messed around with a blower on a lawn tractor, then a blade on my ATV, to me both sucked. I don't have time for that poop.
