I have seen a Ferrari SUV parked in front of a Thrift. Betcha didn't even know they made one did JA?

You dont know who Tom Ford is? He took a moribund Gucci to being a $10B company before striking out on his own. He is the purveyor of ultra luxury fashions. With stores in London, Paris, NYC, Moscow, ST Petersburg among others. He also directed the movie a Single Man.

I don't care how good of a deal it is, I don't need more clutter in my house. Good on ya for finding bargains, but personally I want less ***** and not more ***** at this point in my life.

The flip floppy chested asian is a bonus, though.

Tabby, since you love thrift shops so much, perhaps you should educate yourself on collectable pool cues & cases. Find a real balabushka, it'll be worth more than a pair of dragon ass jeans...

BTW, I'm with Sean on this one...in that I've reached a point in life where I have too much crap to take care of already...not interesting in adding more.

RMC was real popular with the Hip Hop artists..and kicked off the embrodery of the back pocket style. They are small high quality production run jeans. So to get them for $10 in a Thrift.

Java, you and your wife look Fab-you-lous!

The brown shoes look great, you have plenty of contrast between shoes and slacks, and you matched the belt to the shoes - and that is the whole key to wearing brown shoes with any color combination.

I actually have to dress up now and then - which is fun on occasion only. Here is a picture of my wife and I at the recent wedding of our niece. Fun evening out.

That said with the money I spent recently on a suit and the outfit pictured I should have hit up one of your thrift shops. Until this wedding event I have not spent money on dress clothes for 10+ years. Life in SoCal
It takes some serious balls to post up a pic of yourself in a suit in this place

You both look GREAT!!!

Java Dude looks great but that's a sport coat and dress khaki slacks, not a suit.

Apropos ridiculous jeans ,all that selvedge means is the non-fraying edge of the fabric roll. Its on all cotton, nylon, polyester rolls that we buy, and they cost from upwards of 50 cents a running yard. In other words, selvedge means nothing at all in terms of overpriced jeans.

Yes, the cues used by Gleason and Newman are very valuable collector's items.

To stay on topic...there are tales of valuable collector cues being picked up in pawn shops, garage sales, and thrift shops.

(edit) This website offers a few Balabushkas for sale. The one using the Burton Spain (another deceased cue maker) blank was especially sweet. I had the pleasure of shooting a few balls with a Burton Spain cue a couple of weeks ago. Owned by a retired MD in Salem. He was practicing on a table near ours, so we swapped cues for a while. The hit of that Spain cue was magical...I thanked the man for the experience...

There are 6 Savers stores in LV each puts out 6000 to 7000 items 5 days a week. Then there are all the other Thrift store chains. Do you get an idea of the volume?

The stuff that does not sell gets sold off to the Third World by the bail.

GF likes to goto the thrift stores/Op' shop on Monday or Tuesday.

Around here the upper middle class MILFs like to go on a shopping frenzy with eachother on a Saturday; buying armloads of designer clothes. Then they say "My husband is going to kill me if he sees all this", so they drop it off at the Op' shop before they go home empty handed. The staff have it on the shelves by Monday or Tuesday - your best days.
