Beavers Vengance
What goes around comes around. Last year, the LSU Tigers knocked the Oregon State Beavers out of the College World series. Tonight, in a regional game, the final was 14-1 Beavers. Still, more wins needed to make it to the series...but so far, so good.

I hired someone last week to seek vengeance on a nuisance beaver here in town.
I've dug out his dam with a backhoe 4 times now and the little bastard has rebuilt it overnight every time. Haven't seen a beaver pelt nailed to the door at the town garage yet so i'm assuming my man hasn't trapped him yet.

Letters of Note: Regarding your dam complaint Still, would be great to see small school Oregon State University add another College World series trophy to their case.

I'll match this beaver story against yours that I read somewhere today. The headline read woman's pitbull had a fight with a beaver and the pitbull required forty stitches.
Kind of like man bites dog but this is better. I was rooting for the beaver anyway. ![]()

Thanks for the laughs
LSU didn't give up. They fought through another losers bracket team for the chance to play the Beavers again. I had to admire their never say die spirit.
Here's how that game ended, maybe 10 minutes ago: Top 9th: Zach Watson singles to start the ninth for LSU. That will do it for Kevin Abel, who allows three hits in 8-plus innings for the Beavers. Jake Mulholland comes on looking to close this one out for OSU. Mulholland strikes out Antoine Duplantis looking. Daniel Cabrera then grounds into a 1-6-3 double play, and the game is over. The Oregon State Beavers beat LSU 12-0, win the Corvallis Regional and advance to next weekend's super regionals against No. 14 national seed Minnesota in Corvallis. Oregon State 12, LSU 0

Nice to know some still enjoy college baseball...and the regionals! I'm a bit miffed at ESPN. It was broadcasting last night's Beavers/LSU game. Left it in the 6th inning in favor of 1 1/2 hours of talking about the NBA 2nd playoff game...arrgh! Analysis ad nauseum about why the Golden State Warriors beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. Uh, I could tell 'em why in one sentence...The Warriors scored the most points.
Oh well, the radio and the net kept me abreast of the baseball game.

My MS State Bulldogs knocked off Oklahoma this afternoon in the Tallahassee Regional to advance to a Super Regional. Probably against a red hot Vandy team. I was in a dental chair from the top of the 6th to the bottom of the 9th......
Then this evening in the Oxford Regional, Ole Miss was down 3-2 to Tennessee Tech and coming to bat in the top of the 9th when ESPN decided to pull the plug and switch to another game. Spoiler alert: Ole Miss lost. At home. In their own Regional. ![]() Hail State! Go Dogs! |

On to the super regionals for the Beavers as well. Tell ya, way to early to even dream...well, guess not. Next up for the Beavers is Minnesota. If on the tube, I'll tune in. Guess I'd better keep an eye on MS State as well.
College baseball just seems more pure to me than the spectacle of football...

G'day!

Florida finally got THEIR act together and managed a win over those pesky FAU Owls. We've had the crap beat out of us the last couple weeks!
Limping into the Supers but not confident we can repeat as NC's.....
