It's so hot in Texas, we will have to wait a while before truly enjoying the car, but the time together was great.

I'm hoping it'll cool off. How do people drive these cars stock in these hot states? I feel like an aftermarket oil cooler is a must in Texas, am I wrong?

The time has finally come where the car is pretty much all sorted out. For Dad’s birthday, we got him a little photoshoot. It drives and handles well. Best father/son project ever. Hats off to the master mechanic himself! For those who have kept up, hope you enjoy these.

Fuel neck filler was leaking gasoline on my toes through the bypass in the front wheel well. That’s fixed now!

Also got to head out to my first PCA event last weekend. What a blast!

absolutely lovely car!
these narrow Gs grow on me constantly.
So cool you both have this project together (my dad lives too far away and is not fit anymore)

Well it’s been about 20 months since I last posted. Figured I’d update the thread with some pics from the last 1.5 years. Dad got himself a black 88 G50(great condition, numbers matching, low mileage) in the meantime as well. We took both cars down to the Texas Hill Country for the 20th Anniversary of the Hill Country Rallye. Have had such a wonderful time driving this thing. It’s beyond perfect for me. Enjoy some pics

Beautiful car and colour combo. I have a mid year also in Talbot Yellow. I just love the narrow look of these cars. I was wondering what wheel/tyre combination you are running. The profile looks perfect. I have just acquired a set of Flat six wheels and need to get a set of tyres to suit. Sometime these cares look a little strange when the profile is too low which is what i want to avoid. If you can let me know that would be great.

Thanks in advance

Your 74 looks exceptional as always. Heck, it looks better than mine does down below…. Keeping it original is part of that, in my opinion.

The factory made excellent decisions when forced to comply with new crash standards. It has great lines which have held up well with passing of time.
