Right on. Looks like a great series.
You might already be on top of this, but 915 gearboxes are easy and affordable to re-gear into really nice close ratio boxes. Would be a huge advantage for a gravel rally car.

Great job Larry. I'm approaching 9 years on my Quattro build and seing this fire up is inspiration to get it done.

You know, it's almost like you know what you're doing
![]() Curious about the engine combo - compression, heads/ports and cam profile? Are those 46mm PMOs? That's going to be a really fun car, I'm envious! Looking forward to the in-car video.

Engine is a 3.0 with 10.6:1 JE pistons, large port & flow benched heads, DC60 cams, JB 12 plug and some other bits. PMO’s are 46mm that William Knight set me up with years ago. Currently on SSI as I want heat. Had Dansk muffler on for start to keep it quiet. Exhaust might be tricky as rally rules require a cat. Have a Motorsport cell and need to fab into some sort of 2 to 1 system.

Exited to see how this goes. Would love to hear more about the ExeTec setup you have as I have been contemplating the same... Great looking build!

To answer the question about the dampers, they seem good and i've done a bit of tuning with them. The main issue is that the rebound adjuster is BELOW the balljoint. This means, that rebound adjustments only happen with lifting the strut off the pin. A total pain. Also, haven’t competed with the car yet, as my wife / co-driver being pregnant and the first event (gorman rally) landed on her due date. I think i'm gonna need to find another navigator when I have time.

That is an interesting design "feature". How well do they do going from Tarmac to Gravel? Do you find that you have good feel on both? Or compromising one for the other. Excited to see some videos of this one! Stage Rally has always been a goal/dream of mine! Excited to see someone doing that in a 911 in the US. |

Love the simplicity of this build. How light did you get it down to, did you ever weight it?
