Slow window and door frame adjustment

Hello all, Is there an easy method to adjust my door frame? It pushes out on my new seals and thus makes my window slow?

Also my drivers side motor is great going up, but the gear almost sounds like it is slipping or chirping sometimes while going down. Just removed the asssembly and greased it all so we’re good there on both

Any help is appreciated!

The window frame felt seal or the full door weather seal rubber was replaced?

Windows - Try a little silicone inside the channels, they’re probably dry. wipe a little on the sill seal where it meets the glass too. If the new sill and frame felt seals are tight and stressed , then that could be why the motor is struggling.

Are you experiencing the same with the door open with no pressure on the glass?
If the entire door weatherstripping surround wasn’t install just right it would be difficult to close the door or it would stick out a tad, maybe a section is a bit off the track or slightly misaligned in the corners would be my guess.

The window frames are pretty sturdy, but you can try to tap the window frame sides outward with hand pressure a bit if they were bent or twisted somehow, sort of like what would happen when slamming a door shut using the window frame to swing the door shut that could cause some of the frame to distort.

Don't know if this is your problem, but it is an issue I ran into reassembling my doors after repaint. The bolts that go into the window frame connecting it to the door are 2 different lengths 12mm (#5) long and 16mm (#4) long. if you install the 16mm bolts in the upper position at the rear edge of the door, the extra length will bush the felt window seal forward against the window and cause excess friction.

Coupe, Cab or Targa? Year? May help to specify what you've got.

Suggests the window frame bending when the door is closed and so the glass binding when it is asked to move. My thinking is to check the movement of the window frame comparing where it is (its tilt angle towards the car's center) when the door is open compared to when the door's completely shut. Window frame should move slightly outward from the center of the car when the door's closed so the window frame has some pressure against the door frame's rubber seal. Too much pressure is not good---this might be the problem. If so, top of the window frame would need to be adjusted outwards. This is total guestimate but is where I'd start with this. I think---am not sure---there is an in/out "tilt" adjustment for the forward and rear of the window frame. Could be one or both of these being out of a good setting. If one is out, the window frame could twist causing the glass to bind. Point is, I'd check/compare the movement of the window frame (as mentioned prior) both towards the front of the car and at the rear.
