engine seized

In neutral I can move the car without problem
with gear in 4th I can rock the car a little bit ,the ventilator moves about 2 mm to and fro .
When I try to turn the motor with a wrench it s totally stuck
The motor is standing for about 5 years now after the PO said a rebuilt ,there s no oil in it

I pulled the plugs, there new, not used
Now trying to remove the starter motor but struggling with upper nut

Can I use a breaker bar to put some more strenght on the wrench?

Do not use a breaker bar to turn over the engine! Something is seized and you will break it.

Time to drop the engine for a proper inspection.

If you trust the previous owner and you know for sure that was rebuilt and in good order.

1. Take all 6 spark plugs.
2. Put a mix of brake fluid and power steering fluid (red) down the cylinders
3. Leave the mix for a few days if not a week.
4. Put a socket in the crank bolt and start rotating gently.

If the the engine was good to begin it should loosen
If there is something really locked it's time to take it apart

Take the engine out. Leave the starter in. There is no easy way out of a stuck frozen motor.

I can try it at least
I remember when I bought the car engine was free.
I just mounted cis carefully looking nothing fell into the intakes.
I can turn the nut about 5 mm each direction...

Why would you do that?
Best option in this case is MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil).

Put a scope through the sparkplug hole to see what’s up in your cylinders.

Is there a chance a cylinder filled with fuel during an extended fuel pump run? Leaky injector or carb overflow. It can happen. In case this is suspected, definitely don’t try to turn the engine over. It can bend a connecting rod or damage a piston.

If it’s just light rust on cylinders, it’s worth trying Marvels, ATF, etc as suggested to see if you can loosen it up. Nothing to lose if the only other option is opening the motor up.

This . cylinder could be hydro locked, not unheard of .. im not sure what putting ANYTHING in a cylinder will do in a flat 6.. hoping to free up 1/4 of the ring circumference e maybe ?

I'm pretty sure there is no MMO in France

This mix will do the job.

And yes fuel hydro lock is another good explanation

If that's the case why not. index it so you can put back easy.

Now you got me thinking remove the fan belt.

I had a 911 once where the pressure plate cracked, the took the reference sensor too. That car was locked. But it was a running track car. Not your sitting car.

For reference, I once had a 968 race engine (iron sleeve cylinders) that would turn over a little in either direction and just stop when the piston/rings ran into the ring of rust that had formed in the cylinder when the engine sat for several years.

Just a note, only turn the engine clockwise, you can skip timing going counter clockwise.

If your not going to remove the Engine, you should at least remove the chain cases to make sure there are no issues with the chain, guides and tensioners, a problem here could be related to why the engine will not turn!
Just a thought, also; if the engine has never had any oil in it, there could be several surface parts where rust has accumulated, i.e.; cam bearings, crank, intermediate shafts etc, again; all potentials why it wont turn.
Hope this helps.
Ant.

If you can't find MMO, put some confit de canard and graisse d'oie, and add a glass of Floc de Gascogne. You seem to be in the right place.
