ROFL, just like me, painting in the garage ;) I have guards red overspray, ice green metalic overspray, and now grand prix white overspray over everything we store in the garage ;)

makaio 09-23-2004 06:08 AM

Nice! I really like that color.

Eric Mckenna 09-23-2004 08:04 AM

What color is that or is it a primer of some sort?

JMar 09-23-2004 08:59 AM

Where did you buy your bumpers from?

piedogger 09-23-2004 09:25 AM

It is Mexico blue, There is just a heavy fog in there because he was putting on the clear.

Very cool, I love that color!!!

FenderGuy 09-23-2004 09:31 AM

That rear bumper is sweet, do you modifiy the orginal bumper?

piedogger 09-23-2004 09:37 AM

I got the rear bumper from rennsport (?). It was just a regular yellowbird bumper that we modified to be like the original RUF bumper by putting in the slots and rear reflectors. We also finished the exhaust cut outs.

Between the mods and trying to get this to fit (it was almost a half an inch too wide on both sides and the wheel arch was way off) we have over 20hrs int thr rear bumper. I probably could have bought a real RUF bumper! Oh well live and learn.

v9ff 09-24-2004 09:37 PM

Did you drill these yourself? :D

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1096090650.gif

piedogger 09-24-2004 09:40 PM

Yes, we cut them out with a die grinder and then used a small file to clean it up.

v9ff 09-24-2004 09:46 PM

Awesome... I think I may do that to mine. ;) We could be twins... except my cab is slate blue. heh heh heh

What diameter did you use for the cut?

piedogger 09-24-2004 09:54 PM

I don't recall but I will be working on the car again on sunday and will find out for you.

Paulporsche 09-25-2004 04:18 AM

Paint looks great.

I hope you cleaned & masked off that oil cooler.

plain fan 09-25-2004 05:34 AM

A little elbow grease will clean the oil cooler right up...experience embarassing me again.

Allenk 09-25-2004 06:04 AM

I'm thinking you ended up with some smirf-blue hair at the end of that project.
