It's been just about a year since the last post - I'm sure new roads and drives have been discovered.

Post the updates below!

McKenzie Pass and Santiam Pass in Oregon. US 20 from Santiam junction to Sweet Home is a nice drive.

At Sunset on HW101 on the Oregon coast coming down the mountain toward Manzanita. You can see the coastline for miles and the sun casts a warm glow on beaches below.

For me, in northern NJ, it’s Seven Lakes Drive through Bear Mountain in NY, over the Bear Mountain Bridge and then a right onto the “Goat Trail” down into Peekskill, NY and the Peekskill Brewery.

In college I interned with an artist who lived in tuxedo park, NY. He had a dozen or so BMW 2002’s that he was restoring, hot rodding, etc… every once in a while he and I would take a car each and race up and down bear mountain in the middle of the day on a Tuesday. It was ridiculous fun and I wish I could go do it with my 911.

I did that road in my Peterbuilt and 48 foot trailer.......at night .......in the fog.
Was a white knuckle ride. Would love to do it in my 911.

I just did OR-242 from Sisters to Belknap Springs and back the other night(only way to be sure there won't be cyclist). I don't think you could get anything much bigger than a 911 through that section. Not too many roads that warrant a downshift from 2nd to 1st but a few of those hairpins call for it.

In California, highway 1 from Jenner beach to Stewart’s Point (can have traffic and cops but the road just flows magnificently). Make a right (travel east) at Stewart’s Point on Skaggs Springs Rd. Skaggs Springs looks super risky here, but will turn into the best road you have ever driven. Follow it deep into the forest and it will eventually grow into a 2 lane each direction road full of sweeping bends and tight twisties. Take Skaggs Springs all the way into Healdsburg from the coast. The drive is significantly better from west to east in my opinion.

US 212 between Red Lodge, MT and Yellowstone aka Beartooth Highway. It's only open from Memorial Day through mid-September but the 68 miles from Red Lodge to the Yellowstone park entrance is epic.
