Wraith and No Man's Land was part of a 4-5 signed picture deal Ron Howard (Imagine Entertainment) had with Charlie prior to Oliver Stone's Platoon success. So Charlie liked the car aspect, but was expecting (and got) more $$
For those of you that suffered Fast and Furious, this was almost the same story line fast forwarded to the Rice era. Wonder what we will see in 2010 ? " A gang of car thieves is stealing Prius Hybrids and using/ selling off the high power battery packs to fuel their racing obsession. Our Hero, undercover cop played by Marty Shean II, infiltrates the gang posing as a battery engineer....."

This was my favorite movie when I was young. I got it at Best Buy on DVD for 9 bucks a few months ago. I throw it in once in a while for gigles. Best 930 chase scene ever! There are a few good porsche parts, thats all its really good for. Amazingly fast & the furious is a total rip off, only with terrible cars.

I watched it last night while walking on the dreadmill. ...actually, I would fast forward (skip chapters) to all the Porsche related stuff. Then I'd stop after all the Porsche related stuff. I can't remember the last time I actually sat through the whole movie...

I just saw the move this week; typical 80's over the top stuff. The car chase scenes were pretty good, although kind of funny to see a Camaro stay with a Porsche (*****in' Camaro or not).
The best line in the movie was when DB Sweeney suggest they steal the Ferrari, to which Charlie Sheen responds "Italian trash". |

Where do you get it on DVD? I taped it on VHS from TV a long time ago. I would like to have it on DVD.
Thanks!

Hi @KevinP73 - I'm actually trying to track down this car. I lived next door to the doctor who likely bought it from you growing up and I've always been curious what happened to it. Do you happen to know or by chance still have the VIN for it? Any info would be great and would help scratch a serious itch for me regarding curiosity.
Thanks! |

PVT DCR! After telling the owner about how it was my favorite movie ever, he very kindly gave me a spirited ride around the block in it. A moment I’ll never forget. I later tracked the car down in Los Angeles with the hopes of buying it. The closest I got was getting in email contact an owner after the guy they gave me a ride, but no longer the current owner. Told me his fellow PCA CLUB friend that lived in his neighborhood was the current owner, but the car wasn’t for sale and wouldn’t give up his contact info. As he composed his email to me he said he was looking at the PVT DCR plate he kept that was still hanging on the wall of his office!

Having just rewatched No Man's Land for the 100th time last night, I'm wondering if Ted's Technique Porsche in the movie was an actual Porsche shop at the time that they used for filming, or just a set created from warehouse space. Anyone know?

It's been a while, but I'm pretty sure the location they used was Dave Bouzaglou's TRE Motorsports when it was still in North Hollywood. I remember using the restroom there, and realizing the actor Bill Duke got shot where I was standing.
![]() Trivia: Brad Pitt was an extra in No Man's land. So was OG Pelicanite Denis Hartigan.

Great information, thanks!
I was 17 in 1987 when I first saw this movie... already a total Porsche junkie by that point in my life, dreamed of one day owning my own Technique Porsche. Without the crime and murder, of course. ![]() That never happened but I did spend the summer after high school working in the parts department of my (then) local Porsche dealership, and doing the odd customer car pick-up/delivery. Drove some great cars, and met some amazing owners. Some people trash-talk No Man's Land but I really loved the movie. And always will.

Who is gonna make the "Technique Porsche" t-shirts?
I am in for one, but only if it is a tri-blend. I was a 100% cotton guy for decades, but man, these new tri-blends are sooooo soft and wear so well. Prefer large logo print on back and small one on left chest.
