Jack Olsen: question about your mid console arm rest

I saw your arm rest pics on another thread but don't want to jump and and ask about it in the middle of serious conversation.

Could you tell me the dimension of the arm rest your are using such as length, width, high (from the chassis)? It fit beautiful on your car but I realized you have different seats. My seats are as below pics (borrow someone pic from this board)
Also, does your seat scape on it when you move/fold your seat back and forth?

Thanks.

I just bought the same armrest for my 1980 911SC with the seats you have pictured at the bottom. I never bolted it down and just put it between the seats and it is awesome. You cannot beat this armrest for the price.

They'll start marketing it as a 'Porsche Armrest' now. $299.99.

He's a bit of a recluse...shuns the spotlight.

Occasionally, my wife and I walk the dogs.

5.5" wide, 11" long. Top is about 12.5" above the floor.

It's cheap, and I'd beef up the way it installs if I did a permanent installation. One one side I actully replaced the stuffing with some more-durable stuff, for where my elbow sits. But for me, it gets the job done for a very low price.

Thanks guys.

Jack, thanks.

SlantnoseSD,
Thanks. I am 2 hours from you .
Do you have the seat belt bases between the seats? I just came out to measure space between them. I only have 3" to 3.5" space. How can the armrest with 5.5" width fit in there? (base on Jack measurement, the width of the armrest is 5.5").
Did you install it yet? Can you take some pics?

It may still work. The 'box' part of the armrest is 5.5" wide, but you can slide the legs that support it closer together. I have them as wide as they can slide in the following picture:

For a permanent install, you'd have to find a way to anchor those legs.

It still fits. Like Jack said, you just slide the base closer together. In mine, I had to move the base as close together as possible and it fits just fine.

I would take some pics but the car is over getting painted right now and probably won't be back until sometime next week.

oh ok.. So 12.5" is including the leg and body of the box.
Thanks much guys. I will order it.
The first thing when I got the car is thinking of making my own middle console straight from front to back, tall, as the old Ferrari. After looking at the area carefully, I think I can not because there isn't enough space. If I try to squeeze things in, it'll won't look nice and maybe not even confortable.
This armrest might just works.
Thanks much guys.

I thought that armrest would not fit with the sport seats, which the second pair of seats looks like.
