Hey Mark, are the fenders in the rear stock 911SC? Is it just the wheel and tire that make it look so nice? Compression in the turn , just one of the best pics of a 911 ever!!!!
Thanks Ian

Thanks very much Ian... the photo came out very well... much better than expected.
Rear quarters are stock but the flares have been rounded out... and the wheels are 15x9, tires are Michelin TB15

thanks again... car is SO much fun to drive. Its absolutely glued to the road.

There has been a little bit of rubbing in the rear. We're going to try rolling the flares a little bit more and see if that helps.

Mark,

I recommended this picture for the 2023 Calendar that’s being put together on another thread. Great Picture.

^^^ Nice...spirited but not crazy driving on the public roads.... I went with a local P group a few years ago and I'll never go again.
The road to Bagdad Az... twisty, no shoulder or escape areas and blind corners and going crazy speeds with mountain sides and drop offs. Stupid and no respect for who might be on the road coming the other way. Made me mad...I turned around. Someone had involved a guy with a Miata /V8 conversion who led, and he was out to prove how bad he was.

I will go flat out in areas I know and can see for miles where there is no cross traffic (desert country).... but, if you really want to hammer it go to a race track...preaching over....and not directed at your vid.

Yes, I drive a bit too fast. But, as you can see, I had a camera set up. I scoped the area well for a nice twisty-road background but more importantly, a good stretch with no driveways and no cross streets... and I went through there several times to get comfortable with going quickly there. Safety first I always say

Not really, I do the same but well within reasonable limits as you did...what I described above was way beyond your vid.

Your 911 is really well done.

There is a desert road that has no one living nearby (no cross anything) and you can see for miles even in the twisties...the only thing you might encounter is a coyote. I do the same there.

April fools... I really expected to get called out for this but, it didn't happen... I sped that first video up to see how believable it would be. I'll be the first to admit I have neither the testicles nor the talent to drive that stretch at that speed. I think there's quite a few of you that had a good idea of what was really going on.

Hope I didn't piss anyone off All in good fun. Please don't hate me because I'm an idiot. Here's the video in real speed.

LOL. That's pretty funny.

Playing them back to back, the far turn looks a little wonky. But the near turn looks fine to me both ways.

Well played, sir.

You have a good sense of humor , the tire shape did not coincide with the speed implide
You get a gold star

So now we know you have a good sense of humor , lets look at the time line .

Go to 5 secs and stop the video, your turn in entrance is early , reference the amount of road you have to your right . Then 6 secs you are already on the yellow line , this shows a set up for an early apex.
If you were to dive deeper into the turn, following the outside white line until the right tire touched it, or just before , and then made your turn in , the result would be no need for crossing the yellow line and a better exit at full throttle
There are times not to go out to the edge of the white line for reference. For example, if there is gravel or debris on the edge , or an obvious amount of camber change , this is info telling you not to go there . For the most part on two lane roads , following the outside white line into the turn and judging when to start your turn is very helpful. The geometry of the two lane road just works out that way
Just some thoughts

I could go on and on , bla bla
Ian

I totally had to play this at .25 speed (you can change this in the settings) to wrap my head around what you were saying. Makes total sense. .....and I'll be practicing that with my F-150 all weekend. Hahahaha....
