Always loved silver and most of the blues - found this Chiffon White locally and wasn't sure at first but the longer I have it, the more I like it.

Here's mine shot last summer, in the shade, towards the end of the day.

Black is a beautiful color, but Resale Red is the FASTEST color of all!

I have owned a fair number of air cooled 911’s over the years in an assortment of colors. I never went on the hunt for a specific color, typically I went after a specific model. That sort of hunt lead me to own a pretty varied selection of models… coupes, targas, cabs, a 94 Speedster, an RSA, a 993 C2S, an 89 RUF modded turbo ( in moss green which was stunning). I have had some good colors, granite green 87 targa, a darker shade of blue, the name of which escapes me at this time coupe, to name a couple, and an assortment of generic colors.

There are several colors which are my all time favorite which have escaped me.

1) Cassis Red
2) Chiffon White
3) Minerva Blue

They’re not in any particular order. My current ride is Guards Red (zzzzzzzzz) boring but it came to me as the right car at the right price at the right time. 1 day I’ll go after one of those on my top three list.

It's funny- I owned two Porsche's with colors that I loathed at time of ownership, a 72 S coupe in raseberry and a 79 930 in chiffon, I'm not sure about raseberry still but chiffon has grown on me.

Guards Red

While I'd be proud to sit in any of them, hands down it's Guards Red.

I love my Black car aesthetically -- but have a color theory that goes beyond taste, and I'm wondering if it holds any merit in others' experience. It's seldom mentioned in 'color' threads...

I've noticed that when driving through intersections, people tend to turn left in front of me more aggressively than when I'm in my more modern and larger car. I think people assume the car is further away and traveling slower than it is because the 911 is pretty small, and low, and painted a dark color...

I think the brighter colors (White/Silver/Red) provide a small profile car like the 911 a safety advantage when scooting around in traffic by making it easier for other motorists to judge true proximity and oncoming speed. As much as I love the look of my Black on Black SC, I sometimes wish it had a bright red and white stripe across the hood!

for me it depends on the model. the earlier cars including the 356s need to be in a color (other then white and black), but black still looks very good. The late 70's and 80's cars I would go with black. The 964 in white, black or silver. The 993 black, grey and yellow. The 997 is great in white, I also like black, grey and silver. The 991s look the best in black, white and agate grey.

So I guess black is the overall vote for me

I not crazy about black and I'm not crazy about targa's but I really liked my black targa, it worked with the silver targa bar. I had a Metallic black 930, really dark grey. I have a dark metallic black turbo Carrera but it's supposed to metallic brown.

Never had heard of it, let alone seen it before buying my car:
