My personal favorites are the light blue metallics from the 80’s like Venetian Blue, Gemini and Baltic. But somehow I keep ending up with this….

![]() ![]() ![]() I will admit I might have a very slight prejudice on the subject, but Grand Prix white and a burgundy interior is pretty much perfect.

Actually, to add to my post, ALL of the in your face colors from the 70’s plus Aubergine and Ice Green Metallic…..To be honest it was am agonizing choice when I built the red car back in the late 2000s.

It's irrelevant if any other design was better or worse. I don't care about why they ended up that way, I only care how they look, and....to my eye, they look goofy and the graphics are bad. It has nothing to do with longhoods or the ownership or lack of ownership of a longhood, because the following series fixed the bellows problem.... It's not to say the 74-whenever bellows cars aren't fine cars, they are, but they look better in dark colors, IMO. Which is the point of the thread, favorite colors. And on different cars different colors work better than others.

Diamond Blue Metallic - a bit rare but not a unicorn colour. Changes in different lights from a matt look grey/silver to pinkish purple. I was lucky to find my 87 s4 in it with a burgundy interior. Also partial to ipanema blue, crystal green, gulf orange and raspberry metallic.

Nice thread resurrection!
I'm 911% biased, but love Gemini Blue Metallic. Such a range from light to dark depending on light and shadow... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I also like the successor color, Minerva Blue Metallic (the 930), although, it can be tricky discerning the difference sometimes... ![]()

Like Frank, I'm partial to the blues... My M491 in Iris Blau Metallic. It changes colors dependent on time of day, sun, etc... Turbo badging was on the car from PO.
